Best price I've seen. Tempted to pick up a second copy as my first (back when I paid $80, I think) now has a scratched disc.

This one was totally Fox'es fault. first off they didn't like the 1st episode so they used Train job as the premiere, ofcourse there were storyline elements completly unexplained by doing that which confused the potential fanbase... they continued to air episodes out of order throughout its short life while moving it to at least 3 random time slots... with almost no promotion it was a wonder anyone could find the show let alone become a fan of it.

I know fox is run by morons, but this was possibly their dumbest move(s) ever, up there with cancelling family guy... which only loses the dumbest move award because they brought it back. I miss Fire Fly and I barely got to watch it... thankfully Josh got to do the movie as it at least showed me were the series was going to go and closed it off enough for me to sleep.

Normally when I own a TV series on DVD I don't watch the opening sequence, I skip it... but not firefly... I sing along everytime...

The entire series was on sale @ HMV at chinook for 24.99. Not finding a better price on that.
I blame Fox. They aired it out of order and I don't think they did much work to promote it. I also vaguely remember a weird air schedule, but that could be something else. Yeah, I blame Fox.

Edit: MaDMaN 26 did a way better job of explaining than I did.

Add me to those that had no idea this show even existed until well after it was cancelled. I didn't find out about it until late last year, and ended up buying the series and Serenity within a week after seeing the first episode at an ex-girlfriend's house. I picked up a copy of the new Serenity release as well, but haven't bothered to open it, as my first copy has the comforting feeling of a old, worn in pair of jeans

I actually watched the series premiere and wasn't impressed. I was initially showed Friday nights.

A while later, I saw so many people raving about how good the series was that I bought the series...and loved it. It made so much of a difference when you can see it in the intended order. So many of those characters we so good. I really don't knwo why Joss Whedon or Tim Mineyar even bother putting shows on Fox anymore (although apparently Joss is doing a new show for Fox called Dollhouse)

I had no clue when it was on TV, probably cause the times kept changing and no offence, a western motif in space kind of looked a bit weird. Now I own the DVD's and wow, just wow - damn FOX, damn you to hell.

I am a great man.
Well maybe just a good man.
I'm just alright.

If you take advantage of that girl you are going to the special part of hell reserved for child molesters and people who talk at the theatre.
Special hell.

No one apart from me has used my plough in a good long while. Oh, I am going to the special hell.
