I always thought it would be cool to go to a wedding where once the speaches were done the MC would say, we've worked hard, now we play hard, and at that C&C Music Factory Everybody Dance now comes blaring on the speakers. Sort of like that Simpsons episode.

If you want something very recent, go with Summer love by Justin Timberlake...

...then again, I have a lot of friends who enjoy "pop and lock"...so yeah.

Diplo has a recent remix of a certain track by a certain famous group entitled "Shhake It Up" that a friend of mine put on at a house party the other day and everybody went crazy. It's basically the Beatles with a drum break beneath it, but damn, Diplo makes it sound lovely. And everybody seriously went nuts when it came on- a fun, drunk party song.

Another solid EP that just dropped recently is Ayres & Tittsworth's Ultimate T & A EP, featuring 6 soul classics that are reworked with a bit of B'More house flair and drum break treatment. Earth, Wind, & Fire, Stevie, Ray, James, & Minnie get reworked 2007 style and the result is lovely. I think my favorite track is Tittsworth's version of "September" by EWF- gets my head nodding every time I hear it.

These are worth checking out if hearing an old school track with a breakbeat or two underneath doesn't make you punch babies. You old timer, you.

That Diplo remake is pretty good. Have to look into the other one. Got side tracked last night after I found a couple hour long mp3 mixes (one that included this track.)

And Flameschick, I think I have three of your four already, but thanks and will check 'em out!

Even though I don't like techno -

DaRude - Sandstorm

That is the only song I can bring myself to dance to. I do the "angry white man dance" though, which isn't dancing.

Don't have pics of the full set up (lights and all) but here are the speakers outside the clubhouse at the ball tournament. Man they sounded awesome.

I haven't had a chance to go through all of these yet, so I don't know if this was suggested. But, Carmina Burana O Fortuna, the techno version.

Was more of a general statement, and an opportunity to use a Dane Cook reference. Although he says "infants," and not "babies." And you mean "resent" right? I suppose "represent" fits regardless. Ramble over.
