Good to see most (except the Oiler fan, surprise surprise) have paid attention and followed instructions.

Myself, 31 years less a month, born also at the Holy Cross (I think that was historically the main maternity ward in Calgary, with the Grey Nuns hospital adjacent).

Grew up and lived in Bonavista for 25 years...parent stil in those, now 34 years.

Father born and raised here too (on 12 St down in Ramsay), moving to Edmonton for a year out of school...so 62 of 63 years here too.

Wow, didn't realize there was this many calgarians born and raised. Born at General, and going on 26 years with the exception of that year that i went travelling, unless you consider living out a backpack home?

I gotta chip in, I think I still qualify. Another Holy Crosser, 34 years ago. Grew up in Dover (everyone thinks I overcame some kind of disability getting out)--a Forest Lawn High Grad. Spent various periods away--up in Northern Ontario (Geraldton, technically) for 4 months, then up North (NWT) for a couple of months, the Middle East for 3 months, Africa for 3 months, and commuted to Toronto for 6 months--but the whole time my address was Calgary, and I was always home between jobs away.

Born and raised in Calgary, last 23 years.....Just got back from a 5 Month trip around the Pacific Rim, and now that I'm back, I'm bored as hell and looking to leave again. I think my brother and I are going to move to Japan next January and live there for a while, we fell in love with the place last month. When we get back, I'm planning to work for CSIS so that will take me to Ottawa if anywhere back in Canada.

I dunno, Calgary doesn't do it for me anymore. I'm looking to move on and find something more interesting, more cultured.

I've been in Calgary for 24 years minus a few months at a time over a year in Victoria with my mom while she did her PhD.

Another one born at the Holy Cross and a former member of the West Hills clan. Jordon how did you not go to Wildwood? And who goes to AE Cross over Massey? You suck!

28 years for me.

Was born and lived the first eight years of my life in Thorncliffe. Then we moved to McKenzie way back when there was no lake and practically no houses and the drive there from downtown felt like a drive through the country side. It felt so secluded from the city and we even had cubs in a community hall in Shepard because McKenzie didn't have one yet. We lived there for another 8 years until my parents split up and then I moved and bounced around like crazy. I lived in...

-Bridgeland,
-Glamorgan,
-Willow Park,
-Back to McKenzie,
-Riverbend,
-Ogden,
-Back to McKenzie,
-Inglewood,
-Ramsay,
-Acadia,
-Albert Park,
-Dover,
-Thorncliffe for the Second time,
-Tuxedo,
-Coventry Hills,
-Beltline,
-Lower Mount Royal,
-Beltline again,
-Somerset (1 year and counting and I own for once!)

I'm 4th (maybe more) generation Albertan and also 9th generation Metis so I'm about 1/366th real true Canadian.

I thought at one time that I would be a lifelong Calgarian. Moved to Vancouver last year though.

Grew up in good'ol Foothills Estate in the NW, then moved out of the folks home down to the Beltline in the often troubled Bromley Square in 2003. I spent a year in Australia over 2001-2002.

It's amazing to look back and see just how much the city changed in my time spent there from age 0-25!

Holy crap, that's the exact same time I lived in Bromley. What a freaking dive. Between the elevators breaking down, the peanut butter pranks and the mustard seed it was a gong show. I finished two passports at bottlescrew bills living across the street from that place.

I slept in Cochrane for about 18 months when my parents moved out there and I had just finished high school. I was working in Calgary, my friends were all in Calgary, and I started at U of C before I moved back. So I'd say I qualify. 34 years and counting, no plans to leave.

Lol, yeah, when you're 22 and live across the street from a bar like that.... well lets just say I spent quite a few dinero's there. Drum & Monkey also got quite a bit of my income. Ever go to the 'Pub' (Hop and Brew) on 12th? One of the coolest charater bars I've ever been in. Proximity to the Dome was a huge plus too.

Yeah, the elevators sucking, crappy water pipes and the mustard seed were all great reasons to leave. Last straw on the camels back though was watching my 'neighbor' from 3104 (I lived in 3204) jump to his death last July.

I used to absolutely LOVE that view from up there though... watching those big summer storms come in from the North and waving at the tourists in the Calgary Tower across the street never got old.

Born/raised in Calgary, go to school in Edmonton.

Plan on moving once I'm done to somewhere else, something different from the Canadian lifestyle, USA and Europe are options. I'm not a real "good to be home" kind of guy, more of a "oh great, back here again."

Born at the Foothills 30 years ago. Lived in Bowness...in a trailer park where the Dalhousie Starbucks is, then lived in Abbeydale for 20 plus years, a couple years in Martiandale, a year in Riverbend and now I have a place in Pembrooke. Never thought I'd leave, but after the folks moved to Kamloops, I've been thinking about it.

Born and raised in Calgary, I've lived in Riverbend and Ogden (puke only when the area was a decent neighbourhood), and now I'm moving to Evergreen.
