Yeeaa.....sure. Big manager type are we? And you have time to play around on a message board?

Ever take a second to think that maybe the reason he can spend time on a messgae board is because he is 'Big manager type'? Or do you usually think that small?

As the many professionals on this board will tell you, your work is busy if not frantic, but punctuated by pockets of calm.

Does this Fortune 500 company have any relation to Enron?

As a matter of fact, yes. The Sarbanes Oxley work I now do is a direct result of Enron. Quite opportunistic.

So you are a big AEROPLAN ELITE type...travelled to NY and the big TO....and you are complaining about the Edmonton commute from YEG????
If you actually flip back wayyyyy back to my original post, I was more questioning your wacky comparison of drive times in Edmonton to NY, Osaka, Hong Kong and other major metropolitan centers.

Which I think I've made my point. Anyways, since this is now spiralling off topic and I'm done with you, I bid you farewell for now and leave you to let you continue posting about your love of the Liberal Party.

Yes and that was my whole problem. Why would someone complain about the commute from YEG to Edmonton? When, as any well travelled traveller SHOULD know, the time from YEG is miniscule when compared with the majority of MAJOR centres around the globe. The comparison is not wacky. I am not comparing population or economics...just commute time. 20-25 minutes (thanks to Black Archer's measurements) is minor and only a few minutes more than Calgary itself.

Yes, good-bye. BTW: I think there is many here in this forum who would tell you of my hatred for that party. Not sure where you are getting this....maybe form the same hound that is telling you that you are a big exec?

Your comparison holds abosolutely no water whatsoever. Why on earth would you compare Edmonton to Hong kong or tokyo???? What similarities does the sprawling Edmonton have to those sardine cities???

Try comparing to North America cities. La Guardia is about 1/2 or 1/3 the distance to manhattan as Edmonton is. Logan is less than 1/3 of the distance to downtown Boston. Reagan is about 1/3 of the distance or less to the center of Washington. Richmond,VA (where I live) is similary sized to Edmonton is about 1/2 the distance. Miami's airport is a quarte of the distance. Give me a North America example that has an airport anywhere near 30 km from their city center. I can't think of one that is more than half the distance!

Since when was Edmonton a major city on the World Stage?

BTW HOZ, in comparing the drive time from Edmonton to YEG to major centres, you most definitely were comparing populations and economics. Every example of a longer commute you came up with were the direct result of those centres being far, far, far larger than Edmonton. It is not surprising you failed to compare Edmonton to similaraly sized cities.

Wow, turn up your joke meter a little bit, Hoz - I don't think there's a person on this board that would believe you're a Liberal supporter.

As well - yeesh man, stop trying to twist around people's words in a (sad) attempt to riddicule them- from what I saw, IHH said that he was a management consultant...you then start calling him upper management then a big exec...honestly, what were you trying to prove there?
