And if you want to add another Canadian to the list, Colin James is pretty good too.
frack...great video - thanks for posting that. Jeff Healy & Stevie Ray Vaughan are among my faves (along with others of that style like Kenny Wayne Shepherd).

One of the few advantages of living in the "centre of the universe" is that Healy's bar is here and every Thursday he plays with his rock band and a special guest, if any of you guys come out this way make sure to check it out, fricken great!!

I'm out there in early December - where abouts is it?

Its on Bathurst St, if your heading east on the QEW the Bathurst St exit is right before the downtown core, and right after if your heading west, pretty easy to find. I highly advocate a night out at Healy's, you will not regret it.

If even one person clicks on this link I'll be happy. Nobody here has probably ever heard of him, but in my mind nobody mentioned in this thread can play anything like this guy, Rory Gallagher.
Bruce Cokkburn and Lindsey Buckingham.
I also think Johnny Marr is pretty good, but you have to put up with Morissey.
The Edge is probably my fav though.

Reason: wouldn't let me spell "c0ckburn"
I'm not a huge fan of blues guitar... I went through a phase, but it really does get a bit worn after listening to that one chord progression time after time. Once in a while I'll still listen to some Stevie Ray Vaughan, though.
Ozzy Osbourne has a way of finding unreal guitarits. Iommi, Rhoads and Wylde are three of my favourite guitarists. Aside from them, Jerry Garcia is deffinitely up their along with Dimebag
Alright, despite everything I've ever seen, take a look at this no-name Brazillian kid and tell me that he isn't as good or even better than all of the big-name guitarists today:
He's faster than Malmsteen and Angelo, he's got creativity I haven't seen since young Eddie Van Halen, he's got as much composition as Vai and Satriani, and he can play cleanly without distortion sort of like Eric Johnson. This guy could honestly face up to those guys and do better I think. It's simply amazing. He's inhuman and combines rock licks with heavy metal sliding and other stuff like flamenco and classical and jazz and blues and funk (see the middle of the 3rd video) just...I can't believe what he does with the neck as cleanly (He has effects, but they compliment the sound and it isn't muffling distortion. You can hear ever note) and as accurately and as fast as he does. That's insane for anyone who plays guitar knows. I've watched guitar videos and players for years and I've never had my mouth open like this. There are shredders that go as fast as him but they just shred meaninglessly, this guy has melody and keeps switching it up with something new and different styles at ridiculous speed.
First one starts out a little choppy, but that's the webcam, not some kind of trick.
