Here's eye patch guy. Remember when the tailies were in their hatch and they found the glass eye and the missing part of the orientation video? Could this guy be in a hatch that is similar to the swan? Computers look similar.

The first season was awesome, but after that I lost interest. The plots and sub plots mixed in made it hard too follow.

I can't watch TV series' on TV anymore. It has to be DVD from now on. I started LOST season 1, and finished season 2 within a month...I can't wait this long for another episode. What a disapointment.

Amen to that. If I ever run into the studio executive who cancelled that show....
I miss the Whedonverse. It made television less soporific.

I'm hard pressed to think of a show where my whole family watches(other than my youngest) and we dissect the show as we watch. I found it very funny when reading about the show and seeing that other people were doing that as well.
They are really doing a great job of keeping you guessing!!!

True, but I am almost getting to the point of needing some resolutions. It's almost like they are saying they need to stretch their storyline for 4 seasons so they are throwing in stuff to milk the story. It just feels like they are starting to throw in crap for crap's sake.

Yes this is the challenge for them as writers. You do have to give us viewers some revelations or we stop caring. At the same time we want suspense so don't reveal too much too quickly.
But as of this moment I'm thinking three months without an episode SUCKS!!

I disagree. Whenever there are shows like this it seems that people always want more resolutions.
But when the resolutions come, they are dissapointed and the show typically falters.
Examples: X-Files, Twin Peaks. I'm sure there are others.

Another example of this Grant is Prison Break IMO. Everyone wantesd them to break out of prison last season. I was hoping they would keep them in prison for a season or two longer. Now that they are out it just doesn't have the same appeal.
LOST will go down in history as one of the best shows ever if they continue doing what they are doing. I want to keep guessing for as long as I can. Grant is right, as soon as we get resolutions we often get bored.
KEEP US GUESSING!

But you can only milk it so long before it gets repetitive and/or convoluted. I feel that Lost is nearing that point (if it hasn't already) and it needs to get some focus back. I'll keep watching, but as far as "Must see TV", it is starting to fall down the list of things I could be doing on a Wed. night. That is the danger of the long layoff. If another show grabs my attention on Wednesday nights between then and now, I don't know if I care enough to come back (I will - I just PVR it, but I'm trying to make a point).

What's funny is I'm in the middle of watching Firefly right now, picked up the series on DVD last weekend, what a fine show that was.

It really makes you realize how few shows there are on television that have
a) REAL character development
b) Interesting camera work
c) Fabulously written dialogue
and
d) Canadian actors (ok, I just threw that one in to be a nationalist. )
I like LOST a lot--but in terms of quality television, it's not even in the same league as Firefly.
For one thing, as some have noted, LOST tends to advance the plot by the most maddeningly small increments, and at times feels like they're flying by the seats of their pants in terms of explaining everything. One really wonders if there's ever going to be an explanation that accounts for all of the weird stuff on the island. And yes, resolutions to plots like this are invariably a let-down.

Agreed.. I loved prison break last year. If I missed an episode I would download it the first chance I got... I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes this season and I couldn't be bothered to continue on with it.
My girlfriend still watches but I have a feeling that has more to do with Wentworth Miller rather than an exciting storyline

They lost me when William Fichter (who is great normally) killed one of the excapees for no reason other than apparently he's evil.
His character should have been in the mold of the cop from the Fujitive TV Series - a good man driven to catch the guy because that's his job, not for any evil or conspiracy reason.
All too often TV and movies for that matter make things unnecessarily complex.

Ok, I just got done watching it. Aparently the PVR ended early or something, or ABC ran it long.
My recording ended with Kate being handed the walkie talkie and Jack telling her that they had a 1 hour head start. Can somebody please tell me what happens after that?

Not too much.
Jack keeps screaming at her to run away, and she yells something about not leaving without him. Then it ended.

Yeah. I was looking if I could see the exact quote Kate said, but I haven't seen a transcript out yet.
You didn't reall miss much, and you have 13 weeks to download it before the next episode.
