godamnit. so i'm playing my dynasty, compiling a killer record (nearly every game i sim i win with the Flames default roster, figure that) when out of the blue Kiprusoff requests to be traded. now i don't know what happens if i just ignore it, if he'll just play really ****ty or something. but it's quite disconcerting to have that just pop up out of nowhere

The same happened to me.. I kept playing him, he's still winning and putting up great numbers. Maybe I was playing McLennan too much early on..

I had the same thing happen to me, Kipper was fatigued so I pulled him out, played McLennan until kipper was no longer sleepy, a total of two games. Kipper asked to be traded after McLennan had played one.

I have a problem with my attendance...for some reason although I've got like a 30-10 record, my average attendance keeps going down, my season ticket prices and etc are lower than average and yet I don't get a crowd. Anyone think its because I'm simming?

I won the presidents trophy... and near the end of the regular season I was only getting 2,070 average attendance.... huh?
Phaneuf ****es me off... demanded 7 mil after the first season? Of course there is no way to afford that, so after "lowballing" him, he refuses to talk and ends up signing as a UFA with Nashville for 7.5 mil. With no compensation for me.

dunno, i'm in January now just past the all-star game and my attendance is still maxed. i've also upped my ticket prices to $80 which is higher than league average
speaking of all-star games, mine was really whacked. iggy, phaneuf, and tanguay were nowhere to be found on the west, crosby was missing from the east from what i could tell, and the goaltenders were theodore for the west and belfour for the east (of course Florida is somehow 2nd in the league in points so maybe that has something to do with it)
one thing i do agree with however is the fact that in my dynasty mode the oilers are dead last in the league

I found NHL 2007 way too easy. I play hard and I still win games by 3-1... don't even want to start when I play on medium. Just no challenge, I have to play my 3rd and 4th line if I want to have any fun. But seriously, what is up with Lombardi??? He's on the first line, and probably a top 4 flame in that game. Stats are too overated year IMO.

I love NHL 2007 for Xboc 360... I bought the ps2 version, then the same day returned it, and bought a 360... Just couldn't stand the thought of a whole year with the current Gen.
Then... I decided to have a party... here's where things went bad...
I invite some friends over, and as soon as they see the 360, our party becomes a video-game NHL 07 tournament fest, and all of the girls leave!
Well, not so bad right? We're still having fun... We finish every single round robin game, ready to begin the playoffs... and.... MY IDIOT friend, knocks over the 360. NHL 07 no longer works... though luckily the 360 does. The worst thing is, I live in backward ass Nova Scotia, so I can't even return the game to the mall for a new one (i bought the insurance). Now I must wait until Monday to play again... after playing just long enough to get addicted.
Never have people over.

i just scored my new favorite goal. i was on the PP and off the faceoff i shot the puck back to Phaneuf, who blasted a howizer that the goaltender just barely managed to get a left pad on, but Lombardi was sitting right at the side of the net so i was able to tuck the puck in right between the pad and the post for a nice rebound goal
the goal itself wasn't so amazing or flashy as a lot of other, but for just how realistic it looked from a valid play i've seen many times in games was awesome. so many things in this game continue to amaze me with how close they manage to mimic real hockey

Played both for the XBOX 360. 2k7 felt pretty good... EA07 was really difficult and frustrating to play. I'm sticking with 2k7.

Really? I just got mine last night and didn't lose a single game. I'd played the shootout demo already and it just took a couple minutes to get used to the passing. Faceoffs are another matter, I can't win one to save my life.

I'm really liking 07 for my 360.
I go out and beat Detroit 5-2, then the next game I lose to Washington 3-0. No idea why losing to Washington 3-0 makes me happy, but knowing that if you play crappy and make bad passes etc...it's gonna cost you, just makes me like the game even more.

I played EA in EB Games for about 15 minutes with a buddy... it took us at least 10 of those minutes to figure out how to skate/pass/shoot properly. 2k7 just has the right level of 'smoothness' and simulated hockey for me. EA... meh, can't explain it. I loved EA, bought '97 through '03, but 2k is the better series hands down, imo.

It takes more than 10 minutes to figure out the controls and learn how to use them properly. You are looking at 10-15 games to do that. And when you do you'll start to notice how great the variety of goals scored is. You see almost every type of goal that one sees in the NHL. You'll also see how intuitive the new control system actually is.
There are warts on the game but no question in my mind (or most peoples minds) that EA has the superior next gen experience. They certainly have the best base to build off of for future versions. 2k is the same old same old this year just when better animations and graphics then before. But the defencemen still get stuck in their lanes such that a 1-on-1 is actually a breakaway on two thrids of the net. Still the same goal being scored etc.

I've never got the impression that defenceman got 'stuck in lanes'... what do you mean? A 1 on 1 breakaway is totally defendable if you're playing the defenceman, especially through poke-checking. How is two thirds of the net still open? (I'm interested, maybe I'll use it against my buddy!)
