I don't like spiders. Everytime I have to cut the grass in our backyard, I dread the two minutes I spend near the back fence. My brother video taped me once when I wasn't looking and then showed me the footage afterwards.... most embarassing thing ever, I was jumping around like a sissy.

I don't know what it was with bees, but I remember years ago I screamed louder than my younger sister, and she was only 12 ( I was 19) when a bee was in the house. I recently killed one that was on the ledge of my bedroom window, I find myself a lot less scared of them now.

I was shocked by how many people are scared of swiming in open water. I love swiming in open water. But after reading the posts about "things that can be swimming with you" (never thought of that before), I don't think I am too wild about swiming in open water anymore.

Also scared of Heights....

I have a question. I recently switched dentists and the dental hygenist there has this different way of checking teeth. She uses the pointy pokey needle thing and pokes my gums around every tooth and has this number system, I think it's a rating from 1-4. Obviously, this is not a pleasant experience as it's like having needles poked in. I'm not sure if it's because I have sensitive gums or a low pain threshold to these type of things, but is this a normal procedure? Is this how they do it nowadays? My dentist before never used to poke my gums until they bled and hurt.

The hygenist is measuring the space that behind the gum to the bone. You want plenty of space. Too little spells possible gum disease. You want high numbers. It's a little uncomfortable but necessary work. Tough it out.

I don't like spiders, never have and probably never will. The area I live in has lots of spiders, probably because of the fir and cedar trees in and around my property. They get in my truck, on my motorcycle, in my garage, in my sheds and in my house. All kinds of them, I think even black widows. Some just spin their webs and try to stay out of the way, others, really ugly ones, go on the hunt and I see the daddy long legs etc. running for their lives. I vacuum them all up but I'm always a little uneasy.
