You don't have to convince me of anything. It's a pretty simple question. Since your theories make their way into so many discussions on the off-topic board, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a simple explanation every now and then.

fine, but you keep asking the exact same questions and my answers never seem to do it, you just keep asking and asking, not discussing or referencing what i bring up, and it's not worth my time.

It appears to be worth your time to add some pretty wild ideas into a lot of threads, but you don't seem to be willing to answer basic questions about them.
What do they get out of it? What do the people behind this hoax get out of convincing us of all this global warming/climate change stuff? The Ford Foundation, Skull and Bones, George Soros -- what's in it for them?
I'm sorry if I've asked this before, but I don't think I ever got a straight answer.

good god man, how many posters drop more links than i do in the OT forum? 10?
i outlined a whole bunch of this a couple global warming threads ago, the EXACT things you're asking me now.
you try and force me to expalin things in your saturday morning cartoon little 'conspiracy box' where everything is simple, and i'm not going to do it for you.
you don't get a straight answer when you frame it like you do.
it's framing the debate, and it's what they do on FOX news.

Yeah, I figured as much.
I've asked a very basic question, one which you have failed to answer in the past with anything more than ominous warnings and maybe a little Latin sprinkled in.
I'm not framing anything. It's a simple, straightforward question.
If there are people pushing this agenda, they must get something out of it. What is it?

here's where the problem is.
you ask a question loaded with a bunch of stuff i didn't say, and claim it's 'straightforward' - but hey whatever, right?

money and exposure - media that tows the line gets to be a star.
EDIT: in the al gore thread i stated very clearly that most people pushing agendas aren't in full view of said agenda. despite me saying this over and over you keep asking me why they would push it. this is but one small aspect of the stupid game you're playing here, and playing BADLY.

Probably more then that.
Its expected for Looger to involve some conspiracy into every single thread in the off-topic forum.
Oh well...

Ahh. I'm playing a stupid game, am I? Sorry about that. And playing it badly to boot? Sheesh. That's harsh.
But at least I got one straight answer. The media that tows the line gets to be a star. Who's line is it? The CIA's, or the people that brought us Sesame Street?
But that wasn't really the question I was asking. I want to know what the people behind all this get out of it. Not the talking heads, but the real powerbrokers. The line-drawers, so to speak. What is in it for them? The money from the global mileage tax would be an easy answer, but for some reason I'm sure that's far too simple.
Let's take Al Gore for example. Clearly he's a major player in all this. If his efforts do end up with a global mileage tax he gets _______________.
Can you fill in that blank?
And if not Al Gore, insert the name of one of the shadowy overlords you keep referring too.

RougeUnderoos,
i cannot imagine why people with huge power want more, but to believe otherwise is to ignore ALL HISTORY.
EDIT: police investigators don't stop looking into murders because they don't understand the motives, they see corpses, evidence, and follow a trail.
if you are unwilling to embark on the trail but choose to fill up entire threads trying to belittle those that think differently, well i guess no one's going to stop you.

Oh I agree on that, but I fail to see how this climate change stuff could give anyone more power. If there is a global mileage tax instituted, how does anyone have more power?
And I'm not belittling anybody. I read your stuff every day and a couple of times I've asked you to clarify or offer just a little bit of concrete evidence or even a motive. You haven't done it yet. You just get more vague. "Power" is not an answer unless you can tell us what that "power" will be good for.

i've offered plenty of evidence for many of my claims, but when you ask the same questions over and over and frame them like, 'so you obviously believe this' when you just pull it straight out of your ass - forget it man - as soon as i respond to your framed question i validate the lie you ask it with.
and i just cannot care what the ultimate motives are - not good i guess.
once again, centralized power in fewer hands with less accountability to the public is centralized power in fewer hands with less accountability to the public. what anyone believes this 'ultimate goal' you continue to blast is not really an issue with me, it is very moot. whatever YOUR 'ultimate goal' requirement refers to, i can assure you, is not in your best interests.

I haven't read this thread in its entirety (some of us have to work, ya know! :P) But I think someone on this forum mentioned a while back that Mars was experiencing global warming. So I did some quick internet research and found that except for Uranus, I found an article for every planet that showed signs of global warming within the last 10 years.
The ice caps on Mars have shown signs of melting. Another mini red eye is forming on Jupiter due to climate change. Pluto, (even though it's no longer a planet heh) is showing signs of global warming. And that's with Pluto moving farther away from the sun as of late due to it's different rotation around the sun. Even the sun is showing some signs of warming. I haven't checked to see the validity of these various articles. But if this holds true...
I'm not one to say that we aren't making the issue worse by polluting our air, but I feel like it's not the sole cause.

Links? Graphs? Numbers? Tables?
I've still never seen any convincing evidence of this.

We are nothing even close to CO2 levels experienced even in times of massive volcanic eruptions, meteor strikes, etc. I don't get how people can say this might be cyclical. Even if it is "just cyclical" we're screwed anyways if the earth heats up as much as it appears its going to, so we might as well do our best.
I also don't buy the "what a waste of money it will be if its not true". It reminds me of when people were saying how computers and robots would take everyone's jobs. It doesn't work that way. A move towards clean energy and the technologies it will take to reverse our course will create completely new industries with a lot of opportunity and a lot of money in them. I'm sure a lot of us in Calgary collecting oil stained pay cheques, myself included, would love to think this isn't happening and everything is going to be just fine for us, but I think you are fooling yourself.

Many people have also come in here claiming the contrary, and no one has addressed the above graph or any points raised here.
