I think if we are talking man to man the Israeli army would have to be up there with Canada, Russia, and the U.S. I think I read somewhere that the technology that Israel possesses when it comes to its tanks, jets, guns, etc. is the most advanced in the world.
Plus, the fact that Israel is constantly in wars and is almost routinely taking out targets makes me think that pound for pound the Israeli army has to be considered right near the top.

Uh, you are aware that things aren't going well in Afghanistan as well? The country is under the control of no one and its essentially tribal warfare north to south? The Taliban fled and regrouped in the mountains. They are very much around and making life hell for those over there. Or do you think all those Canadians killed in Afghanistan have been from friendly fire?

Whoa, where did that come from? Definitely isn't the story we get down here. Its Americans leading the fight for freedom and democracy in Afghanistan, Canada has zero to do with it. When did Canada take a lead role in this, and where the hell did they find a military to do so?

Canada took a Lead role in Kandahar and greater Southern Afghanistan.
They are still under American Leadership under operation 'Enduring freedom'.
Grease, the UN sanctioned the Afghanistan invasion, you disagree with it?

Umm...just my thoughts, but I am going to say...Afghanistan did!!
Since they were the ones who harbored and trained the 9/11 terrorists, and bombed the US in an act of war.

It's true--going after Afghanistan at least made a kind of sense after 9/11--whereas going after Iraq, a secular, non-Islamist dictatorship in order to "fight terrorism" makes very little sense.
One has to wonder--if the US had concentrated its military might on Afghanistan, would they have found Bin Laden, destroyed the Taliban, and crippled Al-Qaeda? I have to say, I think the answer is "probably." Iraq is one of the most glaring examples history has for us of "taking your eye off the ball." For that alone, Bush has to be up there among the worst.

Not the UN? Or Nato? Or even Canada?
Hell, I thought the international community played a big role in Afghanistan. But I guess you're right, "only" the US will have the thing turn into another Vietnam for them.
