Like who? Not many teams are giving up a future 1C, even for good draft capital.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Let's see what the Conman can do... he's certainly lined things up to make a splash at the draft.

Yup, this guy will replace Backlund next year who despite staying at the trade deadline I fully expect to go chase a Cup next year somewhere. I think the temptation to take at least one swing at it will get the best of Backs this offseason and he should.

It's a young RHS center! Lo and behold!
Guess I should take down my Viggo Bjorck placards now....
Nah, we need more RhS centers!!

I wonder if the Flames were approached with Backlund and Coleman package deals at the deadline and Backs wasn't ready. They may have figured based on offers that they are worth a lot more together and that next deadline could be the time to do it.
Imagine getting those two for a playoff run, with built in chemistry. That would be a giant add.

Oh, I thought you had names in mind since you said it was easily doable. I think it's harder than that.

The way I would rank the current C prospects in the organization:
Elite ceiling / top line expectation: ---
Top line ceiling / top 6 expectation: Reschny, Potter
Top 6 ceiling / middle 6 expectation: Stockselius
Middle 6 ceiling / bottom 6 expectation: Castagna, Gross
Bottom 6 ceiling / tweener expectation: King, Curran
(sorry Tacoman - I hope I am under-rating him)
The Flames still need an elite C to fill the bingo card.
Also, you acquire as many as possible, because occasionally, guys exceed expectations.

Yes but he wasn't playing C with the Wranglers. I still view him as far more likely to be a winger in the pros. But we'll see.

From another thread (along with my predictions of what the Flames should do):
Re-sign:
Stromgren
Kirkland (utility forward in event of injury)
King
Othmann
Ciona
Morton
Grushnikov
Walk Away (or AHL deal):
Bell
Bishop
White
Cicek
Kerins (debatable, but if you don't see an NHLer, let him go)
Miromanov
Prosvetov

Two years in a row where the Flames benefit from having a player sign with them who grew up a fan of the team and is a Calgarian. Hopefully next year will be the third year in a row.
2025 - King
2026 - Gross
2027 - Makar

Last week I had heard Conroy say they are only targeting 1 NCAA UFA, given the relationship to the team and how fast this happened, you'd assume this is it for them.

Or, he'd like to captain the Flames into the new arena and move at the following TDL in the last year of his upcoming contract.

With this many prospects and draft picks, Conroy is going to have to be super aggressive on term when negotiating contracts. Otherwise he'd have to sell at a discount to make room for someone making a push to make the big club.
You perform? You can get re-signed. If not, a prospect can take your place easily, and making sure there's contract/cap room to do so

This lists everyone under contract: https://puckpedia.com/team/calgary-flames

Miromanov
Kirkland
Bishop
Cicek
RFA:
Beecher
Stromgren
King
Othmann
Bell
Ciona
Kerins
Morton

I'm guessing a couple of RFA players may not be tendered their qualifying offer.

I would guess the Flames want to enter the season with 3-4 spots open to flexibility.
And I would guess they will save 2-3 spots for a couple of guys who might decide to turn pro early (I would primarily target guys like Reshny, Castagna....)
So I would guess they only have space to sign about 10 of the 18 guys you listed.
