The team does look pretty listless.

I don't think they have given up because I still don't feel like effort is the issue.

But they just have no answers and are playing with no confidence.

It’s only gotten worse, more than I think they imagined.
Bad play is one thing.
Bad attitudes spread like wildfire.
Huge divide in the room, not even sure how you fix it at this point.

Rewind the period, watch the guys come on and off the bench.
3/4 of them look so uninterested in actually making a difference, they’re more excited to get off the ice than on.

Well there’s realistically 3-4 players who will be with this team when we are competing again - so purge them all

Exactly who are the “bad attitudes” in the room?

Wow pretty amazing that we can get our asses kicked by the second worst team in the league! That’s quite an impressive feat!!

I support-ish the tank for a top pick. But you have to hand the reins over at some point from the vets to the kids. And I sense that the vets have a strangle hold on things.

You know over the decades, I figure the Flames would be able to recognize when the breads gone stale and they simply haven't. It's a bad habit holding onto things beyond their best before date. See: The tear down of the Iginla core.

Are you referring to Andersson?

At any rate. If you're anywhere in Alberta with clear skies, the Northern Lights are deep red to the naked eye and intense. Might good to go outside and sneak a dart and stare at the sky burning intermission.

At this rate we may lock the last place at Christmas. Then I will be happy to cheer for a win.

I suspect that as soon as they admit the season is toast (Thanksgiving?), they'll settle the goalie rotation down to more like a 50-55 pace for Wolf.

I still remember Huska's pre-game locker room speech at the heritage classic when the flames and oilers both came in on losing streaks and they aired both groups.

One coach was riled up and letting his group hear it, while the other sounded like a meek, soft-spoken dad giving a kids rec league team a pep talk and reminding them that fun matters most

He may be the worst motivator in the league.

Really has nothing to do with their record at this point but I would much rather have had them build up his workload than start it the way they did. Starting him 3 in 4 was dumb. Not every game is a game 7.

Can you elaborate? Is not trading Andersson the elephant in the room?

They looked to be playing for eachother last year.

That was a great try by Huberdeau, and Sharan.
