The Tigers are hammering the PA Raiders 5-0 midway through period 2 and the Raiders are acting like a bunch of bitch boys especially Daxon Rudolph.

Man that Willie D sure knows how to build and coach a hockey team doesn't he?
How long is SGC going to be out for? And Muhonen too?
Missing some key pieces and still one of the top teams.

The Medicine Hat Tigers are getting close to seeing their full lineup.
The Tigers have two skaters nearing a return after missing the month of November.
Forward Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll and defenceman Niilopekka Muhonen both missed all of the Tigers’ games in November and were also out of the lineup Wednesday when they hosted the Prince Albert Raiders at Co-op Place.
Head coach and general manager Willie Desjardins said Tuesday the pair were nearing a return but he didn’t provide an exact date.
“We’re getting real close,” Desjardins said.

Heard this stat during the Tigers game last night - Bryce Pickford and Jonas Woo lead defensemen scoring in the Dub with 15 goals each. No other team in the Dub has a defenseman with 10 goals.

Tigers come back from a 3-1 deficit late in period 2 and win over Moose Jaw in OT 4-3. Bryce Pickford with his 2nd goal of the game had the OT winner.

Nice to see the Hitmen end their skid with a come from behind win vs PA. I had no idea that the Hitmen are the youngest team in the league.

I think there are a lot of factors for big drop in the attendance at Hitmen games.
In no particular order:
1. The Wranglers
2. Over the last number of years playing home games in 3 different arenas.
3. Covid-attendance has never recovered since then.
4. My understanding is season ticket holders is down.
5. Ticket prices are not super high but more than they should be but also everything else at the game is still Nhl prices.
6. Not as much coverage on the fan.
7. A lot of mediocre or losing seasons.
They've looked at different ways to get people in there from ticket packages or calgary teams ticket bundles, lower bowl seats only for most games, etc. I think right now that the economy is hurting them because people have less disposable income with a lot of options to spend that money.

Tonight in Medicine Hat, there was a teddy bear toss followed by hats hitting the ice for a Bryce Pickford natural hat trick.
Edit: After scoring his hat trick goal, Pickford removed his helmet, spun it on the ice, and got a 10 minute misconduct for his trouble lol

Thats a weird one. .500 team with a negative goal differential and currently 7th in the conference buying early. I guess they figure if they can get on a run they can move up the standings and if it fails they can flip him later on.
Two of the Canes bigger selling pieces have already moved and it's pnlt early December. Just Cozens left as a big ticket selling piece.
Sucks they couldn't even get a 2nd rounder in the selling price. Sure seems like a low cost for selling this early on.

SGC and Muhonen are back, that's great news...
The Tigers are expected to see the return of forward Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll and defenceman Niilopekka Muhonen this weekend. Both have been out of the lineup since the B.C. division trip at the end of October, held to single-digit games played this season.
“It’ll be great to have them back, both are really good players, so we’re excited to have them back,” Desjardins said. “But it doesn’t matter who you’ve got in the lineups, just how hard those guys that are in the lineup play.”

Tigers tie the game in the final minute of regulation with Casey pulled for an extra attacker and then go on to win in OT courtesy of a Bryce Pickford snipe. That's 8 wins in a row for the Tabbies.

The Hitmen just completed the weekend sweep of RD. 4-1 in Calgary last night. Tonight, they scored 5 ppgs to win 9-0 in RD.
