As everyone else has said, I like the white one, I like that it's new, I love the simplicity.
I don't like the black, wish they had simply gone with red and white.

I actually don't hate black on a team Canada jersey if it's reserved to a 3rd jersey only, although can't say I'm particularly a fan of that one.

The red would look better with white stripes and white leaf. The black would look better with a red leaf... but really, third jerseys in such a short tournament are stupid.

It’s kind of crazy when you consider that we have such a simple colour scheme and a flag that’s so easily translates into a jersey.
And yet when you look at our jersey history it’s littered with hideous creations.

2026 kinda suck, 2022 sucked hard, 2020 beautiful, 2018 not bad, 2016 sucked, 2014 not bad, 2010 beautiful.
We should be able to better than 2/7 every 15 years. It’s mind blowing how awful they all are.
I mean seriously it seems like Finland and Sweden and the Czech Republic I’ll have this figured out. You get a classic jersey style and you ####ing stick with it other than a few minor alterations here and there.

Bumping this a bit. TSN did their mockup of Team Canada and it was pretty dumb. Putting Hyman on there just to wing McDavid.
I'd honestly rather lose than have such guys on the team. It seems each year there are some questionable grinders that they put on there because someone in management has a connection to them, or plays with a star player. I just want to see the best play the best, and if they lose, so be it.
I never thought Celebrini and Bedard would be this good suddenly. Forget their small size, just put them on. Again, best on best. Nobody wants to see Tom Wilson and other lesser skilled guys making the team.

I think it would be a huge mistake if team Canada l left either of Cellebrini or Bedard off the roster if they are playing like they are now. Especially to make room for Hyman. Would be 2006 all over again with the omission of Crosby. Some old school hockey guys are afraid to just make it an all star team. Which is what the team was in 2010 and 2014.

Zack Hyman shouldn't be on this team, especially after being injured for so long. But he's not some 4th line grinder. Playing with Matthews and then McDavid has definitely boosted his scoring, but it still takes a pretty good player to actually put those chances in the net.

I agree it’s dumb. But they’ve always operated this way. Seabrook went instead of Bouw for that reason (#### you kevin Lowe!). Kunitz is a gold medal winner for that reason.

When you look at the full group of jerseys, it's clear there's some weird aversion to putting a white leaf on the red jersey. No idea why. It looks awesome.

Yeah, it's operated like a corporation where someone vouches for you. Add to that Eric Brewer. That came out of nowhere back in the day and it was a head scratcher.

Fully agree that he's not some scrub (I actually liked him on the Leafs and thought it was a good Edmonton signing). But he's on the decline at this point and hasn't shown much this calendar year to be even talked about for the team. His name to me came out of nowhere for no good reason aside that he plays with McDavid. Are you telling me no other all star can be able to adjust to McDavid? That's ridiculous (not you, but just Button and Johnson).

Button made some dumb choices. Hyman isn’t going to be on the team.
But Team Canada isn’t going to just throw all the most skilled players on the roster. Even in best-on-best tournaments, you need guys to play roles. And the 4-Nations showed that if a player can’t check or play reliably against elite opposition without the puck (like Fox), he’ll be exposed.
There will also be a strong bias towards guys who were on the 4-Nations team - they did win the thing. Coaches have a big say in the roster, and Cooper will want the guys he won with back.
I expect the roster will look something like:
Crosby-McKinnon-Reinhart
Celebrini-McDavid-Jarvis
Hagel-Suzuki-Marner
Marchand-Point-Stone
Scheifele, Bennett
Toews-Makar
Morrissey-Theodore
Sanheim-Parayko
Harley, Doughty
Thompson
Binnington, Kuemper

I'll join projecting the forwards (moreso what is should look like IMO). Size will be an issue with my choices but it would be nice to see.

I understand the desire to bring vets. But Celebrini and Bedard have to be on this team. Even if sheltered… they need to be there. Also good experience for them for future best on best tournaments.
