If the Panthers cruise to another cup win, can Leafs fans really be all that upset at how their season ended? They took this team to 7 without their starting goalie, and with their best player playing through a major injury.

I think it was smart - only from the perspective that it got Marchand off his game. Normally Marchand does silly things and gets away with it. This really ticked him off.

If it makes you feel better the Toronto game 7 loss could lead to the team's self destruction and possibly the end of Tre's career. If Marner walls and Tre makes a dumb panic move that doesn't pay off, he's finished. If Marner stays and the team gets embarrassed again, he's finished.

I saw it on Twitter the other day, someone said they might kick him upstairs and get rid of Shanny? So may be by finished, it could mean he's finished being the GM? IDK
