Wild are looking more like their Nov-Jan selves.

Their record with Kaprizov and Erikson-Ek in the line up is unreal.

Bringing in Samsonov isn't going to make the situation any better.

Night and day difference for them. But they probably played 'good enough' without them compared to if the tire fire up north lost their previous mcdrai for that same timeframe.

Has Buium been any good? Haven’t watched most of the series, media raving about him.

4-2. I’m no Vegas fan but the Wild can get bent. Though if the kings can take out the oilers I care much less who wins this series.

Vegas being too fancy and get the perfect pass, just need to get shots on net. Gustavsson is on fire, need an ugly one.

Erickson-Ek might be the most unknown really good player in the league.

I’m ok with the Knights going on their downswing now and then missing the playoffs next year.

Finishing bottom 5 and winning the Draft lottery.

If they're going to win the draft lottery anyway, they only need to finish bottom 11. I'll settle for that.

And Kaprizov is also underrated. When he went down he was in the top 5 conversation.

Kaprizov is in the conversation with Kucherov as the best winger in the league.

I wouldn't be too worried about the Wild if the Oilers comeback, they are just as good a s Vegas. When you draft like they have, they are stacked. Faber is a star and Gustavsson is an elite goalie.

Boldy also very underrated. They like Vegas have 6 good dmen and added Buium. They could go on a run IMO.

If they keep Kap, they could be an elite team move forward. They are wasting $14 mil on Parise and Suter buy outs. That drops to $1.6 mil next year.

Their buyout situation is the craziest part of this all. Appears to have been perfectly executed and timed.

First half when he was playing Kaprizov would have been in the MVP Conversation. So yeah him and Erikson Ek being out was pretty significant. Eichel and Stone have done very little thus far, so we'll see if they get that turned around. Down 2-1 is not out of the series, and if Vegas is going to win it's going to be hard on them. So a playoffs that beats them up and doesn't motivate them to be better next year would be nice....but the Florida pick already looks to be sewered...so yeah Wild in 5 and Vegas cup next year.

Credit has to go to Billy Guerin. When he took over, the team was in rough shape and the buyouts to Suter and Parise were bold moves that looked like the organization was willing to accept a lot of long term pain but to their credit they have stayed afloat during that period, drafted really well, and made a few shrewd trades. They look pretty good going forward with the big dead cap hits ready to come off the books.

I’m shocked. The Wild looked terrible down the stretch.
