I know Brodie wore it before he became a full time NHLer, but players usually prefer to stay away from #66 because of Mario. Did anyone wear it in the NHL since the media made a big deal about Ho-Sang wearing it?

If they're apprehensive about it then make him a 12th forward playing point on the PP!
Or 11F 7D.

I suspect he'll keep 89 for the rest of this season but switch to 19 when he makes the team full time (hopefully in the fall).

Has Ilya Solovyov been called up? He's on the Flames roster on the team website, yet he played yesterday for the Wranglers. Maybe someone forgot to update the website.
EDIT
Nevermind. He's playing right now with the Wranglers.

Who else is going to get those minutes ? Our 3-6 are pretty thin and waiver pickups.

He is still listed on the Wranglers roster as well.

Can he replace Bean and maybe play 3rd pairing with Pachal and get some PP time. That would be my preference.

How about why? Explain yourself.
Hanley isn't a building block but he's formed a pair with Weegar that plays 24 minutes a night.
Logic tells me they're not going to break that up in a playoff chase?
Your logic? Or is your "joke" of a post just a drive by??

Bahl isn't a waiver pick up and is now a pretty big part of this team.
Hanley has established himself as a defense first Dman. I think he easily gets signed by another club next year.
He's a solid 6 on most teams now.

Bean is pretty replaceable if we're being honest here.
Perfect spot for him. And playing against bottom feeders will help ease him in, if thats possible for the NHL.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
If Parekh plays I suspect that Hanley moves down to play with Pachal and Weegar slides to his left or its Pachal that comes out and Bean pairs with Parekh which I wouldn’t recommend

Right 4-6. 4-7 I guess.
Hanley
Pachal
Miromanov
Bean
Think Weegar makes his partner better. That’s why I think he will be a good fit for Zayne. He can move and he get open for an outlet pass and might help him a bit having a partner take away doing the pushing.

I don't think it'd be wise to put the kid into the top 6 on the bottom pair while the team is still battling for a playoff spot. He was sent down after camp due to his defensive deficiencies and Parekh himself said he was lost on the ice during camp playing with/against bigger, faster NHLers in a new system. I also don't think it'd be good to sit him on the bench during a game and have him jump on only for PPs or OT as he'd be cold.
He seems to be smart as hell and obviously very talented, but I don't think it's fair to slot him in with regular shifts (even if bottom pairing, low minutes) in case he makes a big mistake (and he'll make mistakes) that impacts that game in a serious way (which is likely given how little the Flames score and every goal against is a big one).
Have him practice with the team a ton, and put him into the lineup in round 1 after he's had a bunch of practices under his belt and when the team needs to mix up the bottom pairing!

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think you put him in until the team is mathematically eliminated.
Players from right out of junior are going to make mistakes, and in fact they need some leeway to make mistakes. It's how you learn anything.
It would be unfair to put him in a position where he makes a mistake and it negatively impacts making the playoffs, even if making the playoffs is unlikely at this point. You don't want to put that on him mentally.
