Also wonder if it’s also a case of Andersson not playing his best hockey. Seems like there are a lot of guys on different teams that played in the four nations who are really struggling in their first few games back. I thought Solovyov looked good but Andersson made some unforced errors and decisions that he typically doesn’t make. Would like to see how the pairing looks when Andersson is back to playing his normal game.

Right now that pairing is getting worked five on five. They have horrific event counts against.

I thought maybe they were just pinned on the ice with a struggling fourth line but Solovyov's minutes by forward on the ice show the Kadri and Backlund line as 1 and 2 in his shares, and only 5 minutes total with Rooney.

I like the kid, but I think he'll do better taking Bean's spot for a go with Bahl comes back.

He may need some sheltering.
Something to consider...it's not Solovyov's fault. Andersson has been out of position a LOT lately, and last night it was pretty bad at times. Some of that is his forwards not helping when he pinches, but a few times it was squarely on him. Solo seemed to be in the right spots pretty regularly, but I thought he was still adjusting to the NHL pace (a normal issue for a guy called up from the AHL).

Edit: What Stemit said ^

What is Anderssons numbers with Bahl? I thought as a pairing they are underwater as well.

Just on his own Andersson corsi for is 47.3 and a -5.2 xGF. With the larger role he seems to be really struggling this year and his partners are as well.

Why is Solovyov a tweener after two performances that most of us liked?

Talk about an unfairly short leash.

Some people are a little too in love with their stats sheets.
