Trying to do some research about what the Sabres would want to add in exchange for Cozens.... what I read is that they seem to be a pretty talent loaded team, what they are lacking is leadership.
Lindy is the focal point of the blame. His coaching style is described as being pure offense - no defense.
If that is true, I hope we can find a way to get Cozens out of there before the team figures out they should fire Lindy and get a better coach to sort the team out.
I don't watch many Buffalo games but I wasn't impressed with Cozens tonight. Yes a new team and coach may help but that contract of his is alot to pay for what could be a 3rd line centre. He may have already had his career year 2 seasons ago. If the contract wasn't so big I would be more willing to gamble on him.

They truly are. They have some young talent, but just can't put it together. Dahlin, Thompson, Tuch has always been a solid player. Then pests like Krebs. Lots of young guys, maybe not enough veteran presence? Reimer as a backup goalie is a red flag...

If Buffalo trades Cozens, he’s gonna go nuclear. He’s a great player in a ####ty environment.
Buffalo has some great pieces, their D looks set for years. Plus, Cozens, Peterka, Quinn, Thompson, Tuch upfront. They’re doing Oilers. Give the keys to the kids and let them figure it out. That’s not how this works. They should have thrown the bag at guys like Lomberg in the offseason.
They need some leadership and direction. Until they get that, they’re going nowhere
