I didn't see any attempt to just go shoulder to shoulder, or shoulder to chest. He wanted to hit him high, and he did. I love big clean hits, but that was not one.
He got 5 games which is better than nothing, but seeing players KO'd on the ice after their brain rattles around inside their skulls should not be a thing in 2024. I don't care if a player grazes another players shoulder in the process, it's not a clean hit. Reaves wanted to hit him high, he did. Mission accomplished, I guess. The NHL still isn't taking head shots seriously at all.
