I didn't see any attempt to just go shoulder to shoulder, or shoulder to chest. He wanted to hit him high, and he did. I love big clean hits, but that was not one.

He got 5 games which is better than nothing, but seeing players KO'd on the ice after their brain rattles around inside their skulls should not be a thing in 2024. I don't care if a player grazes another players shoulder in the process, it's not a clean hit. Reaves wanted to hit him high, he did. Mission accomplished, I guess. The NHL still isn't taking head shots seriously at all.

I completely agree, but players have to look out for themselves as well.

Its like...when you get on an airplane and they teach you how seatbelts work. Nurse needs that lecture about helmets. They only really work if they're secure, otherwise they're just tasteless hats.

Yup, that's a head shot and there's really no way to argue against that. But again, never skate with your head down and especially when you're coming out from behind the net. I imagine Nurse does that quite a bit because he's almost always significantly bigger and heavier than the forechecking player, so he's never been too concerned. In this case, the incoming player is slightly shorter but heavier.
