Lol! I was thinking the same thing.

Like when Homer looks at his paycheque after Springfield instituted the Bear Patrol Tax.

"What the Hell??"

But you know what tax rates are like in International Waters?

And! You could make even more money because the thing is essentially a floating Hotel! Complete with Kitchen and everything!

Oh this plan just gets better and better!

Sounds like the storm surge is not going to be as bad as first feared.

Tropicana Field is no longer a covered stadium.

Baseball exists so that fathers and sons can memorize stats and have something to talk to each other about.

Ironically, that is a Tampa Bay team that should be moved back to Quebec!

OMG, has the sky fallen or still falling? It's only a Category 1 by landfall from a Category 3 and initially overblown by mainstream shock-and-awe news claiming Category 5. Depending on which mainstream news you go for, the death toll is like from 3 and triples to 9.

Having trouble following your post, but the bottom line here is that at least 10 people are confirmed dead. (will likely go up) No big deal to you, I guess? The storm was Cat 5 over the water, and thankfully slowed down. Are you a master hurricane predictor who knew exactly what category it would make landfall at?

Not sure where you're getting your info from, but the National Hurricane Center recorded Milton making landfall as a Category 3 hurricane. The NHC also was forecasting Milton making landfall at Cat 3 or 4 all the way back when it near Mexico at peak intensity. I never saw anyone on a news broadcast or position of authority saying it would be making landfall at Cat 5. Maybe you were watching engagement farming accounts on youtube or twitter?

WTF is wrong with you? Doubling down on an extremely callous take, even after confirmed deaths are beginning to come out? Who raised you?

Not to mention that landfall for a hurricane is only one aspect of the hurricane. A lot of the wind, rain, rising water, and tornados that occur during the hurricane happen before landfall.

Some people like to think they are being "Edgy" or "intuitively informed" ("which mainstream media you go for") when in actuality they come across as dim, inexperienced and or ignorantly privileged.

....and usually highly educated via Youtube research. I had a few buddies go that way hard during the Covid years, thankfully some have become bearable to converse with again.

All dogpiling aside, what source do you trust for your news, CSharp? ....or do you travel to each newsworthy event in person and find out what's really going on with your own eyes and ears?
