On the Pelletier front… I don’t think being ok defensively is really a passing grade at this point is it? He just hasn’t been noticeable. He was injured and lost some development time.

So has Honzek. Honzek was drafted 4 years after Pelletier.

Honzek noticeable. Pelletier not noticeable.

Klapka undrafted and only 6 months older than Pelletier. Noticeable.

I’m fine if the flames don’t want to expose him to waivers as a former first round pick but I think he has to show way more than he has to play in any of the 12 roster spots.
