Vini is the best player in the world, but he missed some time, and Brazil was ####e at Copa so that plays a factor.
I have no problem Rodri getting it. Incredible year. Car###al would be a bit of a stretch, but not unheard of for a player like him to get it (Cannavaro 2006).

I believe they are mainly upset Vini is not winning but using Car###al as an argument against Rodri. My guess is Jude took some votes away from Vini where there was no City/Spain player taking votes from Rodri.

It gets even better. There are rumours that Man City were that ones who notified Real Madrid that Rodri won it. This years Ballon D’or was supposed to be top secret, as it always gets leaked. I believe in years past the winner would do a photoshoot in their living room before the ceremony but this year that did not happen as they wanted the winner to be announced properly at the ceremony. Now Ballon D’or organizers are saying that the winner still will not know until it is announced.

In other football news, Sunday times is reporting that the announcement of inter Miami qualifying for the club World Cup was not supposed to happen. It was not supposed to be the supporters trophy but rather the mls cup winner. Infantino also announced some schedule involving inter Miami that no one knew about.
FIFA trying to ensure that Messi gets in? So shocking that fifa wouldn’t follow their own rules. Then again, the contest is in disarray and is one of the things that players are pushing back on with too many matches.
