Very naive tactical approach from Jesse Marsch. You'd think he would have learned from Herdman's disaster class at the last World Cup.

That was a beautiful goal. No shame in that
The guys played real hard and I am liking what we’re seeing from Marsch in the short sample size. At some point though the ball has to go in the net, been a bit of a problem since Qatar

They're playing pretty well, close game, fun to watch. Against a really good team.
Not sure there's a heck of a lot to be negative about, but everyone's different.

Canada played great, created chances and went for the goal. A couple great passes from the best to ever do it lost them the game.

I believe in the Jays.

Argentina showed their class in the end, but we should be pretty happy with that performance. It’s something to build off of for sure. I’d like to see Davies play further forward right from the start in the next two.

An absolutely fantastic game from Canada.
Should be proud, boys!

Canada will go nowhere with this all out attacking approach. They just don't have the horses. The Moroccan approach from the last World Cup is the only way a small footballing nation can hang with the big boys. Sure, they had chances and it was exciting to watch, but Argentina pulled away in the last twenty minutes and could have had five or more. The Canadians looked dead on their feet by the end.

True …but let’s be realistic. Argentina is the #1 country in the world.
No one thought Canada would win.
They played a fantastic game.

Argentina could have and should have scored more, just too casual.
If Canada keeps playing this loose at the back, they won't go far...

Didn't get cornholed as bad as I thought we would, so that's sort of a win. Crepeau was MVP and kept it respectable.

They generated chances but they need guys like David to finish them

Argentina is the best national team at getting long balls in over the top. Yes Canadas defence struggled with it but almost every team has issues with it. They won the last copa America off a long ball vs Brazil and won a whole damn world cup that way. The defence was way better than past Canadian teams
I liked the high line tbh. They need more time to practice it

With some finish and a few inches closer for a penalty, it's 1-1. If it's 1-1 it stays 1-1.
Final goal, fine. Tired, and Marsch is playing a risk vs reward midfield and backline. Cornelius was asleep while the Argentine player slipped in.
Estaquio and David need to finish those, and there were a few other plays where there were very good chances just needing another touch.

Good showing. Going up against Argentina, it was always going to be a tough matchup. They held their own.
This team is young, but coming into their prime. They have to finish though. So many solid chances frittered away.

Great game. Canada had their chances too; Argentina's attack, passing and tactical play was just off the charts good. Crepeau was absolutely outstanding tonight!

- Gotta find a way to maintain possession in the first 5 seconds after winning the ball. Too many cheap turnovers.
- Back line a little exposed towards the end (including on some set pieces), but overall pretty impressive
- Surprising amount of high quality chances
- Worst I’ve seen Messi play in a long time…never seen him miss those types of chances. Credit to Canada in defending him too though
- Millar - not a starter imo
Fantastic performance overall. Held our own vs likely top 5 team in the world. (Not sure they’d win a WC if it were played this year). Love the direction we’re headed.
