Had tickets for U2 in Montreal in 2010, which was postponed. Still had a blast in Montreal, but didn't make it back for the rescheduled show in 2011. c’est la vie.

I could have met Mr. T at the mall. The entire day I kept saying, "I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, they told me he'd just left. And when I asked the mall guy if he would ever come back again, he said he didn't know. Well, I'm never going to let something like that happen again! I'm going into space right now!

Could well be, it was a story told to me by my brother but I'm sure his head is full of cobwebs. So MJ never solo-toured Thriller?

I don't think Michael Jackson ever performed in Seattle. He was supposed to with the Jacksons in December 1979, but the show was cancelled. He had a solo show on October 31, 1988 in Tacoma for Bad cancelled because of laryngitis.

Even though I eventually saw both separately, when I lived in Vernon I had tickets to the Guns n' Roses/Metallica show scheduled in Vancouver in 1992. At the time for me, it was a dream show. Then all that stuff happened at the Montreal show and Vancouver got cancelled. So it was ages before I saw either of them.
I also (like I'm sure many others on here) had RATM tickets recently. The fact that Run the Jewels was opening was a big bonus for me. The fact that it got postponed like 3 times due to Covid, and then eventually cancelled due to Zack having an old body but thinking it was still young and fresh was a big negative for me.

Ditto- they were a bucket list band for me, and RTJ was a total bonus-I had the tickets for over 2 years I think when it was cancelled- And the $175 was huge $ for tickets in 2020

That concert was awesome. Some buddies had floor seats, so they put their tickets into empty drink cups and passed them to my buddy and I, and we got on the floor. Epic.

That's my answer. I saw them twice and am wishing I would have made more of an effort to see them more and earlier.

If anyone has the Rolling Stones on the bucket list.. they're touring now. I checked it off the list in Las Vegas in May. They can still perform with the best of them despite being 80+.

I always wanted to see them. A good friend of mine went to College in the US and spent a few weeks being a "Deadhead" and the stories he tells are so good.

Damn.
I ended up never seeing the Hip.
Come to think of it and staying on topic, I had tickets to Edmonton on the last tour.
Passed them on because we had young kids and it was just too much....

Bob Marley, fall of 1979. I was 18 and living paycheque to paycheque. I had to choose between Marley tickets and eating. In retrospect I should have bought a big bag of puffed wheat and lived off that for two weeks…and gone to Marley. 18 months later he was dead.

I saw the Tragically Hip 3 times but I missed many other times.
I didn't go to Another Roadside Attraction in 1995. I opted out because I was an idiot.

I also missed them when they came through Lethbridge on their Day for Night Tour (in February of the same year as Another Roadside Attraction I think).

Then I missed them on their Fully and Completely tour in 2015 (the re-release/anniversary release of Fully Completely).

I'm a HUGE hip fan and I had opportunities to see them on those three occasions that I just missed out for no good reason. I don't regret it but I wonder why I was so dumb.
