I don't care who it is I just want to see someone lay a beat down on the Oilers to shut up their smug fan base. Most of them are convinced the cup is theirs and those ones are the unbearable fans I can't stand - and Edmonton seems to have more of them than any other team (although they do have a few great fans too).

Agreed. Definitely rooting for your Canucks in this spot.

Apparently the set list got leaked and they're all songs dedicated to Vancouver and Edmonton.

Well this is gonna be easy for the Oilers. Canucks would need top tier goaltending to counteract the Oilers PP, but their main goalie is injured.

Shoot, I'm gonna say this is an Oilers sweep if Demko doesn't return.

100% behind the canucks here. That's a bit hard to think as a diehard flames fan, as they've had some of the most hateable teams ever in the past (i.e. 2011). This year's iteration is one of the most likable in years though. Hatred of oilers also trumps everything else.
I just have a bad feeling about the series though... canucks have looked quite offensively flat for such a high-flying offensive team. They need the offense to come alive and grit guys like zadorov, joshua and miller to be huge to neutralize turds like kane and perry and their shenanigans.
Hopefully Elias and Zadorov can rediscover their hatred of the No-Goods.
Go canucks!!!
Edit: and please wear the black jerseys with the matte helmets. Those are beauties.

Lol. Canucks are deeper, faster, more talented offensively, and have better goaltending than the Kings, even without Demko. This will be a much tougher series for the Oilers any way you slice it.

I think the Oilers win it. Wasn't all that impressed with the Canucks in round 1. McDavid and Draisaitl are going to challenge them defensively in ways Nashville couldn't.

If Edmonton gets the PP’s they’ll have a great chance again, but running at 50 percent seems unlikely in the second round.

Edmonton should be concerned about their depth if the powerplay dries up. Not a lot of even strength activity for 97 in first round

I'm looking forward to all the whining about luck every time the Oilers lose.

Fire up the Salt Mine, baby.

Even if Demko is slow to come back, Silovs has looked pretty darn good in his own right.

Eh, fair. I'd absolutely deserve it for a post like that if they were playing anyone but Vancouver.

They'd better give Demko extra healing time like they did for McDavid (didn't play until what, the 3rd/4th night?)

Is it? Guy stood on his head at the world championship's last year to carry Latvia to their first ever medal.

Guy might just be a good goalie.
