Prediction for this carnival feature: Paul knocks out Tyson in less than 1:30 into the first round, both walk away with $10M+ in their pockets and Netflix also dances its way to the bank, setting up future 'front stage' stuff like this for others.

It’s a spectacle for sure. I don’t believe for a second they’re enemies, and you will hear the classic respect lines after the fight where they’ll be hugging and nonsense like that. But I’m going to guess it goes the distance where Paul wins on decision. Mike will look for those body shots early on. It’ll be really interesting if Paul can handle his speed and if he’ll have jitters early on against the legend. If he can weather that storm it’ll go long. Tyson looked great a few years ago despite being old. I still that it’ll loom large here but Paul is also juiced, so who knows.

Who knows. Guessing closer to 10:30. Frankly nobody cares about the underdogs but I’m sure there will be a concert in between.

Reports say Paul is making 40M and Tyson 20M.

I think we are the chumps and this is all scripted/staged.

Crazy to think that these are the pay days, and they can just... do it again in the future. Scripted or not, these guys know how to make serious coin.

I wish people would just stop paying attention to the Paul brothers though lol.

If this was the Tyson from 30 years ago, this is an easy prediction. Who knows if Tyson has that same power that he used to have 30 years ago, where he was a one punch killer.

I expect that if this is legit, and not fixed all the way to the WWE head offices, and designed to make both fighters look good (Split decision, Paul wins).

That Tyson will come out hard and try to end this early, Paul will want this to go longer and wear Tyson out.

there's also the question of how strong is a 56 year olds jaw?

The Taylor v Serrano fight is a legit fight. They sold out MSG in their last fight. They are both making more money in this fight.

Tyson and Jake Paul are actually friends/friendly.

Regardless of outcome, the winner is Jake Paul. His production company is putting on the fight. Netflix wants to get into live sports so they win too. As a Netflix subscriber, I hope they do more “free” events like this. The three episode series was interesting on both men.

I have respect for both fighters. Tyson looks motivated and fit and some of his training videos look frightening. Paul is a brave man to get into the ring with Tyson.

On that note, to read CPers in this thread hope that a fighter gets carried out on a stretcher or killed is so far over the line that people really need to consider whether combat sports are for them. To wish harm on someone for your personal entertainment reflects poorly.

Jake Paul stated that people don’t turn in to see the good guy win, they watch to see the bad guy lose. This thread is indicative of that.

I’ll be watching and I hope it’s a good, fair fight without injuries.

I can't believe people think this is real?? This is some WWE level shart. They will make it look good with Tyson landing some body shots or some pulled punches to the head and Paul will run around and jab his way to a decision. You could tell the whole pre-fight slap was staged. The only time Jake Paul legitimately fought a real fighter he got a beating, he isn't going to hurt his marketability by actually fighting a real boxer again without a paid off win. Great bank for Tyson though. I would love love love to be wrong about this and Tyson kills him because I think Steroid Paul is bad for boxing but I think this is absolutely just a show.

Paul is going to mop the floor with Tyson. 27 vs. 56! What a joke.

I don’t know about how illegitimate this is, but if betting is official I’d think they wouldn’t mess with people’s money. Crazier things have happened but I don’t think any of them are taking a fall or anything like that. It’s a spectacle no doubt.

No one really knows for sure but I did read one article that said the walkout will not take place before 9 PM MST.

And this first prelim is boring. Interested for the women's fight. They said the last one was epic.

That first fight was like someone fighting their first amateur fight in career mode in the game Undisputed. Jesus...
