Simple shot and deflects to the corner but Yan Can Cook was right beside him for some reason and went off him and in.

I believe it was the 4th shot. Last season was a nightmare. This year has been reasonable.

He made the save. Went off Kuz's knee and into the net. Brutal luck is all it was. He did not let the first shot in, but technically it was one shot, one goal.

I've liked Kuznetsov so far seems poised. Unlucky a bit on the goal bouncing off him but he plays a simple game.
Backlund seems off...skating seems laboured and slow.

I really like what I'm seeing from Kuznetsov so far. He just made a bunch of smart little plays in the last shift.

Looked like a belly flop and then the backstroke.

Was through a screen. Pad save that was kicked out right but then bounced directly off of Kuznetsoz’s shin pad and in. No way he could have stopped it.

I thought Backlund’s last shift was good though.

It was a huge screen, too (I was feeling bad for him thinking that a first shot went right through the screen but he made the save).

C’mon PP. If we stay in their zone we don’t need to gain the zone.

Unlucky for Huberdeau, made a nice play to keep it in then got the stick up.
