We’d likely win this if every country was able to play its best junior-aged players.

Other teams are missing guys too though.

I think Nemec, and Slafkovsky could still play for Slovakia.

Cooley for the Americans.

Carlsson for Sweden.

Now if Bedard, Fantilli, and Benson are there then yeah Canada would probably win easily, but in the end this Canadian team didn't even make the semi-finals.

Really the team shouldn't have required Bedard to carry them this year like he did last year as a 17 year old.

Plus Korchinski, Luneau and Molendyk.

But Canada should have done much better even without them.

There are going to be off years, especially when - ironically - the talent this year was so good that they're all in the NHL as under-agers.

Also, 6 golds in the prior 7 years - I think the program is fine.
