Needs to share some with Ruzicka.

Remember his thumb bleeding a week ago? If his thumb is injured he won't be shooting as much.

I’m not a fan of the shootout, like most of us. But, there were three 10 year old boys sitting in front of us tonight that were JACKED when it went to penalty shots.

Very much anecdotal but for kids, where the future of the game resides, and for casual fans who are so important for growing the game, I get the argument for keeping shootouts.

Oh I like Kadri...surely they was a better way to clear cap

Is Kylington completely done as an NHLer then? I am so confused about what's going on. I respect the privacy the team is honouring but man, we need some answers eventually.

This team sorely misses him.

Yes but not nearly to the same extent. Like I said purely anecdotal but it got me thinking. Actually even my own kids, they’re younger, I kind of start tuning out for the shootout and they pulled me back into it

Parenting fail maybe lol

I think those kids were excited because they knew there was a high probability of goals being scored.

Which isn't exciting for me in isolation. When the Flames were all over New York in the first few minutes of the 3rd, you could hear the Dome really coming alive. I think when your team has a high probability of scoring and the other team doesn't, it's generally more exciting for fans.

Super entertaining game although I have to admit my wife jinxed it when, in the first period she said "Flames are gonna lose, they're playing sloppily." Fortunately after that we went to the Joyce on 4th, ate and drank a whole lotta beer, so the pain of the loss was sheltered.

Young guys once again had a good game, with the odd ineveitable mistake..no worries...they're gradually bringing the old guys with them!!!

Popsicle was excellent. Thought Andersson was more mundane than ususal.

Andersson could up his game to get to the level he's capable of but the six game losing streak was partially due to his suspension. He was missed.

The team is doing quite well considering they don't have a power play worth putting out there.

Fun game. Our power play yielded negative results (penalties).

Love the injection of youth. Gives the team a fresh look and it’s enjoyable for fans to watch. At this point you can’t really ask for more than some exciting hockey even if it doesn’t result in a win.

The one complaint I have is the D core. For a team supposedly built from the backend out they sure struggle to contain other teams and make costly mistakes. Individually there are some nice pieces but they can’t seem to find consistency as a unit.

Let’s hope one day we will see the end of the shootout. Horrible way to end a game.
