This is probably not the case, but the thought occurred to me that Huska and Conroy could have a bigger strategy at play with the goaltending moves.
It was mentioned back in the summer that Treliving was a big believer in Vladar's potential. Playing him tonight could be to entice Treliving to offer something up in a trade if he plays well. Calling up Wolf would also light a fire under Vladar because if he doesn't play well, it gives the impression that Wolf is there to take over as Markstrom's back-up.

I hope Zadorov has a big game tonight, getting Treliving and Leafs fans all sweaty and excited. Then when they come calling because fans were wrong about Big Z (and Tre generously offer Ryan Reaves in return), Conroy looks down at them at their desperate faces, whispers "NO", and rides off into the horizon.
These are Treliving's players, no question about that. I think the bigger change is in the energy around this team. Conroy and Huska have breathed some life into this team. Just go watch Huska's interview posted a few pages ago. The man is laser focused. Only time will tell on how his systems hold up in the biggest league, but I see an intense leader who's gonna bring the give-a-crap meter up to his level.
"Confidence is earned." Maybe it's cliché, but it's like Huska knew exactly what I needed to hear right now
The Maple Leafs are the Edmonton Oilers of the East, a few really skilled high offensive players, mediocre supporting depth, below average defence, and no goaltending. GFG!
