Pospisil scored? Nice for the Wranglers, I guess.

What's that? He wasn't playing for the Wranglers tonight? Waste of a goal.

Your post is confusing. You said the ejection was weak, but also that at worst the ejection should be enough. But ejection's only happen after majors/misconducts. So the major would always come before the ejection, which makes your point confusing (almost like you were asking for ejection with no major which doesn't happen).

Either way, the 5 and game was definitely warranted, along with whatever suspension he gets. It was a stupid, hot head cross check to the neck that happens more from drunk beer league players that hate their home life than professional NHL'ers.

Hopefully he's suspended a few games, we don't need that kind of junk in the game. Suspend it harshly.

Super checker from the greatest checking line that's ever checked before Johnny Gaudreau played 11 minutes and was benched tonight in a 2-1 loss.

So...the game ended and we had more goals than the team we were playing against.

This sequence of events is incredibly rare...what does this mean?

Keep bringing up the young guys. Let them stick and rotate out the old guys.

Can’t win 11 in a row to get back into the playoff race without winning that first one.

Two in a row Tuesday.

Yup. I hope that even if they somehow pull a run out of their asses that they still trade him.

Vladar quietly won 2 out of 3 games. Meanwhile Markstrom has 1 win in 8 games. Markstrom is definitely the much better goalie, but I'm glad that Vladar in net doesn't equal an automatic loss, like in the Kipper days.

Overall it was a pretty good game. I didn't love the Mangiapane penalty, but I also don't like players sitting on the puck or holding it without getting a delay of game penalty. Unlike some, I liked Lindholm's game tonight, he was definitely making plays, and winning puck battles.

The PP still needs a lot of work, despite scoring I thought that the 5 on 3 was mostly not dangerous. Also it's great to see the Wranglers get on the scoresheet, they might just drag this team into winning some games.

You can tell just how bad things got by the smiles and sigh of relief with the ENG. Hopefully, they can build on this game, and do it again without the brain farts.

Ejection was definitely warranted. It was a stupid and selfish play. I would scratch him for a game even if he isn't suspended.

A night where the Flames win and the Oilers lose is always a good night.
Nice to see Pospisil get his first!

Thought even Kadri had a good game today...caught him backchecking HARD a few times and breaking up a couple of plays. Good..maybe he's having fun playing with the kids?

Speaking of whom I though all were very engaged and hard-working today Popsicle, Little Z, Desi were all responsible and active. Duehr looked decent in limited time.

Darth always looks a bit panicked to me in net..but he held his ground most of the time and made a few tough saves to keep us in it. Good for his confindence in himself and the team in front of him won't mind either.

I don’t agree. The crosscheck itself wasn’t forceful but it was to the back of the head/neck area of an defenceless player and it propelled his head into the ice.

It was a dumb and dangerous play.

Dang missed all the fun in the third. Told the six year old I'd watch it with him in the morning. Glad we will be catching a good period of hockey. Was worried it would go the other way and we'd have a dud to watch in the morning.

Huska has been great at utilizing young players in manners that actually make sense. He really seems to understand their strengths.

Even with how bad of a start the Flames have had they are 4 points out of a wildcard spot.
