Noted, yeah i think I missed that one. I think i’ll start keeping track of “positive huberdeau touches” going forward though. You can’t improve it if you’re not measuring it.

You had me at sign Phil Kessel

Seattle is the worst team in the standings, and they're a significantly better team than the Flames now IMO. Nashville isn't a particularly good team, but the Flames have always struggled against them.
Flames always play crazy games in Nashville though. Usually goes the extra frame in those.

For whatever reason, they're possessed there.

Kadri was probably the best skater out there for the Flames.

Huberdeau is a buyout candidate now. I thought Brad hit a homerun but it was a huge swing and a miss. Zito saw Brad coming a mile away.

The narrative of making the Flames the Cleveland Indians from Major League?

Mark Savard is supposed to be some offensive savant. So we try a drop pass to huberdeau and Lindholm while the rest of the pp stands at the blue line on the pp. Multiple times...

If Huberdeau isn't humiliated that he's being benched for a rookie in the last minute of a close game then there may be nothing redeemable left.

Some difficult decisions ahead if this guy doesn't wake up.

Zary was fun to watch. Expecting that every night for such a young player is unrealistic but what a first game. How many times does a young player come up and you say they that they didn’t look out of place. Well Zary was much better than that.

Give credit where it is due, Kadri had a decent game. Not a difference maker but seemed like he was interested in playing well. Still the laziest Flame on the forecheck though.

Unfortunately his contract is pretty buyout proof with its structure

Is it sad that I would take even last year's Huberdeau over this one?

55 points and responsible defensively at least didn't #### the team, even if he wasn't a game breaker for them.

His contract is essentially buyout-proof.

Better effort for sure. A good 45 minute effort. You can start to see which players are starting to get sick of losing. Happy for Zary. Tons of potential.

I hate Jamie Benn.

I wonder what Leafs people think of the ####ing disaster he left his previous team in.

I mean it's got to set off some alarms for them, no?

I just realized the worst part of tanking.

Hardly any ATL reports.

Sure, but you don’t have to actually play him. You can healthy scratch him, sit him for special teams and severely limit icetime.

Etc.

If he doesn’t want to play, he doesn’t have to.
