Wow I thought the Flames played quite horrible today, were on their heels all game. But somehow they found a way to win which I guess is all that matters!

Flip the script from last year... get outshot and win. So far so good!

He and Lindholm both did. NHL.com was slow to update it.

I’m probably wrong but it felt like this didn’t happen even once last year. Someone will prove me wrong, but it was rare

Good thing the CP GMs didn't cut Lindy and Markstrom because of their poor preseason

They didn't get outshot often

Yeah probably didn't happen much... since the Flames outshot the opposition nearly every game last season.

Is it me or does Kyle Connor look more like a Cletus Connor?

If we had lost this game this thread would already be 17 pages deep.

Happy to see Huska get his first win. Nice to see some of the guys who were off a bit last year get off to a better start this one. Who knew Mangiapane was the setup man Lindholm needed last year.

Nice win to open the season, get some confidence and momentum before heading out on the road.

Didn’t see the whole game but I thought they looked good in the third.

Mangiapaine and Markstrom the Flames MVPs tonight.

Coronato also looked good for his first game, was buzzing early on, but did slow down a bit as the game went on. I like what I'm seeing so far.

He missed on purpose; wanted an assist instead. Guy is always passing.

Isn't this the second season in a row that we've won the home opener after losing the previous like 11 in a row (2009 to 2021)?
