The mental health issues kept him out of last season - there has been no confirmation it's mental health keeping him out right now.

He came to Calgary, has been skating with players leading up to camp, attended the physical and fitness testing and it was then "Determined" he could not participate in camp.

Whole point of my initial post was that I wonder if we are jumping the gun on tying it to his mental health issues because the way the wording reads is like something came up during his physical and fitness tests.

His skin folds were bad and he's been sent to fat camp

I don't think we bought low on Sharangovich, as he was the main piece that landed a 34G 70P winger in Toffoli, that has a bargain of a cap hit.
We definitely didn’t buy low on Sharangovich. He’s going to get tons of opportunity here, hope he blossoms with it.

So just kind of triggered the whole thought of something that could have popped up in a physical that isn't really an injury but more of a personal health thing.
I would think the team would be trying to distance what happened last year what's going on today if that was the case though.

C on the other hand should be among the best in the league and in spite of last season I still believe this
It isn't about him 'being the best RW', it's about chemistry. The Flames have 3 very balanced lines, not a loaded-up top line.

I mean, yes, RW is not a strength, but I think your point misses the mark somewhat.
