I would just like to thank CP for getting me through the summer. There have certainly been some interesting conversations, heated debates, and threads heading off in all sorts of wierd and wonderful directions.
Hockeys back, we made it, go flames go.

I personally think the 7th spot is Gilbert's to lose.
I think the organization really liked what he brought to the team when he was called up last season. Stable and reliable.

Disagree. The contract they gave Oesterle tells me he's the one they expect as the 7D

If/when Hanifin is moved, they'll both likely be on the roster.

Huberdeau - Lindholm - Sharangovich
Honzek - Zary - Coronato
Andersson - Hanifin
Weegar - Zadorov
Not open to the public
Seravalli's hot take: the Flames will sign one of their UFAs before camp is done.

Pelletier with Rooney. Setting the kid up for success on the 1st day lol
I'm kidding, not a legit overreaction. I save those for day 2.

If Huberdeau and Sharangovich find some chemistry that would be huge for both guys. Love the look of those lines.
Honzek line is interesting since its unlikely those 3 will play together anywhere this year outside of maybe some preseason games. Coronato in that group at least suggests he might get a look with Huby and Lindy as well

I know you're kidding, but Rooney and Duehr are the only NHLers in the group, other than the top line. I don't think there is anything to read into it at this early juncture, but if there were, it would be a positive, IMO.

Rooney is not an NHLer. That signing was another example of BT needlessly plugging holes with poor veteran players that could be filled with homegrown prospects.
It's not doing Pelletier or Duehr much of anything to be playing with someone like Rooney so hopefully it doesn't last long. But if anything, it sure has been refreshing not too see the usual parade of scrap heap players shuttle into town for camp under the guise of healthy competition.

His 227 NHL games say hi.
I didn't say he was a good one, I said he is an NHLer. Which I think is good for Pelletier - he is doing drills with guys that know what they're doing.
