Oh - is that who Katura is? I spent the whole show thinking my pick was Sabiyah, then I looked at the list and saw the name Katura and I thought to myself who the hell was that.

She is smart, I like her, easy to root for so far.

Well, the yellow tribe still sucks. Big shock.

They MAY have fixed that getting rid of Brandon. He's got to go down as one of the most useless Survivor players around. It was also good to see Emily come back and be more personable. She made some pretty good strides this episode.

I had to laugh at Sabiyah's predicament, though. I know that they don't have flint, but...they don't have fire? They can't rub some sticks together? They COULDN'T KEEP THEIR FIRE FROM THE PREVIOUS TRIBAL GOING?! Good lord.

Also, it looks like Jake pulls a Michael Skupin next episode. I hope he doesn't.

So far not good. Cast is weaker than last season.

Bruce is annoying level 10.

The girls long toe was the most entertaining part of the season so far. What a grip.

This is probably going to be the quickest I've ever been bounced from a Survivor pool. Bruce is my other pick but he's so annoying I want him gone too.

Whoever is in charge of casting these people really needs to step their game up or quit the show and let someone else do it.

I enjoyed the moment where one of my champions handed the other an advantage. Got a little nervous for Kaleb though, he's going to have a pretty big target at the merge or even this tribe swap.

Emily went from a disaster to actually playing the game quickly, good for her. Sabiyah seemed like a competent player but she was just too comfortable which is usually someone's downfall.

Can't believe that yellow team still didn't have any flint, that has to be a record. I think it was a week. Useless.

I'll take the hit, that was very well done on Emily's part. Kaleb is a strong social player, and he thinks that he's all over Emily, but she's got some hooks in him, too. Though, Sabiya wanted to vote out the only reason that tribe won anything. Kaleb carried that reward challenge on his back and then some.

Some interesting dynamics on the red tribe, around the idol.

I like the Goodwill Advantage, and I'm not too surprised to see it, given how long some folks were without a vote in the last few seasons due to Beware's.

I also like the new tier vote cancelling Immunity Idol, as well as the effort involved to get them. It would be really complex for one person to do all these tasks.

I have to just shake my head at yellow. I get that they don't have a flint...but they've had multiple fires given to them! They either absolutely suck at keeping the fire they each get from tribal going, or they aren't thinking of using it. Useless.

Figured that a swap or merge would be coming next ep with yellow going down to 3. I do kind of hope that it's a merge into 2 tribes, though I suppose 3 tribes of 5 wouldn't be too bad, either.

I am finding the 90 minute format works better for this show, quite a bit more than it does for Amazing Race. We see a lot of strategizing and stuff with it here, and I like it.

It does make a lot of sense, since the shows are just that different. The two are basically the IRL difference between PvP (Survivor) and PvE (Amazing Race).
