Let me see if I got this right. People on here are using a "Thank You Lou" thread to criticize him? Classy.

If you want to thank Lou for everything he has contributed to the Flames, to Calgary, the professional and minor sports in Calgary and Canada, then this is the Thread for you.

Lou is one of the best sports personalities I have met and dealt with over the years. Actually, one of the best human beings. I also loved the insight and knowledge he provided. I wish Lou all the best in what he does next, and will always miss his stories.

He may not be everyone's cup of tea. But, if hes not yours, go find a different thread to go post in. Leave the "Thank You Lou" thread to actually thank the man for everything he has done for us as fans.

As a long time listener of the hot stove lounge, and a long time listener and regular caller on Overtime and Flames talk, I'm really going to miss Loobo. His memory is insane and I usually enjoyed his honest takes and ability to go against the grain of popular opinion at times. I wish him the best in his new venture. Those are big shoes to fill for whomever takes over.

Well you know what? Lou will be just fine. And you know why he will be just fine? Because good people know good people, and people who know good people end up with good people. Its like I always would say to strangers at the bus when i was on a train in Toronto, "you don't know who will make your day, or if today is your day, but one day you will realize that with hard work and a little compassion the day is maybe just a little more great than yesterday, and don't look back as tomorrow will be the day that could be the greatest day yet" . And despite the ups and downs that we all experience, hard work and a good attitude can overcome alot in this world. And you know what....this world isn't just you and me but it's you and me and a whole lotta other people. And other people is what is so great about being alive and living.

I thought the official nickname was Loubo not Lou?

But he signed off his letter with 'Lou' so I guess that settles it. I've been lied to my whole life.
