We all know that the Bruins have clinched 1st place in the Atlantic Division, Eastern Conf, and overall. The Leafs and Lightning have clinched 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Atlantic Div. These two teams will play each other in the 1st round starting in Toronto.
The Hurricanes and Devils are still fighting for 2nd place in the conf. and and for 1st place in the Metro Division. The Rangers are locked into 3rd place of the Metro Division The Panthers have clinched a playoff spot. The Islanders and Penguins will fight for the other playoff spot.
The top 3 teams in the western conference are still battling it out for the top spot in the conf. and their division. The Stars can't come 1st in the conf. The Kings and Wild are locked into 3rd place of their respective divisions. The Kraken are 7th and the Jets are 8th in the western conference.
