He won't play another game in the NHL after this season. Maybe a PTO with exhibitions somewhere at best
Why are we this loyal to a guy on the verge of retirement, over a player like Duehr who likely has unrealized potential - or literally any one else
Sutter only needed to swap Kadri and lindholm

not possible

The line combos are, in my opinion, not built to win but rather built to see what they have. See how Dube does as a Centre. See what they have in Ritchie. See if Pelletier can perform on a different line. That kind of thing.
I'd be a lot more upset about the lines if this game was in any way meaningful (it isn't).

I'm glad Ritchie is in the lineup but putting him on the 2nd line is not what I had anticipated. Anything that keeps Lucic in the lineup I guess. Darryl is going to lose Darryl's way as always.

I don't mind Dube playing center to be honest...but i'd like to see him at Center with Huberdeau.
Lucic staying in the lineup is frustrating for sure. Duehr has done more to deserve it lately.

At this point it seems like he is either going out of his way to humiliate Huberdeau or he is trying to make it seems like we have no star power on the roster.

Agreed. I think they move Backlund or Lindholm in the summer and hope Dube can play centre.
Also remember when Sutter apparently hated smaller players and Pelletier would never get a chance. First line!

But sutter isn’t coaching to lose just because some are cheering for it. So it still makes sense

Yep I think you have it right.
In that same vein, why not split up Huberdeau and Kadri as well though? Sutter knows this combo does not fit, its a bit baffling he hasn't experimented there.

I agree, I'd like to see Huberdeau get an extended look with Lindholm for the rest of the year.

I think the playoff hope is fully extinguished. I am not above cheering for losses now and getting a better pick.

Putting him with Lucic and Lewis, though pretty uninspiring, makes it easier to evaluate what he’s got at the position I think. We know Sutter does not care about production when evaluating guys, it’s about how they play the game, so I imagine he wants to see how Dube rolls in a more defensive role before placing him with Huberdeau and the pressure to get the “star” player going.

Sutter actively trolling fans who say he hates the kids. Scratches a 25 year old for a 27 year old but quietly moves a 21 year old up to the top line.

Is there further insight into a Trelving/Sutter thing? Treliving mentioned Duehr is an NHLer now in his Friday press conference.
Duehr has struggled a bit lately though. We've all seen that.

If the Flames win, I can guarantee we'll see the same lineup. I actually don't remember Sutter having the propensity to change the lineup on a back to back.

If the Flames win in Dallas it will be pretty hard to complain about the lines
