I'm excited about Coronato. I think he's going to be a decent player for this organization. I don't know how the team will fare next season but I'm excited about the prospects of Coronato, Pelletier, and Wolf on the team. Zary with a good camp could make the team as well and Poirier has had a solid first AHL season and hopefully they found a player in him. I get they they aren't can't miss prospects but I think they will be players for this organization.

This is the best Flames news I’ve heard in weeks (also tells you where the team is at I guess). I was legitimately worried Coronato wouldn’t want to sign after the whole Sutter/anti-youth gong show earlier this year.

By Anti youth you mean the Flames prospects ####ting the bed in training camp?

or do you mean showing no consistency?

Sutter would have loved nothing more than for Phillips or Ruzicka to be consistent point producers but they were / are not.

Pelletier is an every shift player, look at the chances he has received.

Sutter is anything but anti-youth. How many times do you hear him say: "The young players have to take a step forward". Phillips wasn't an NHL-ready player. Pelletier wasn't NHL ready either with that training camp he turned in, but he went to the AHL, dug-in, and pushed himself back up, and when he got here, made sure that he couldn't be sent-down.

Sutter has complimented Ruzicka lots in the last 2 seasons. Ruzickca just hasn't been consistently good enough.

If I am Coronato, these are the things that I am going to pick up on. That's how to be successful in the NHL anyway.

I'm 100 percent convinced Coronato is signing this year. That sly smirk on trees face when talking about cap space and ppl who may come to play before the end of the year was epic.
