Just saw the Kadri penalty. Both players were fighting for space. Should have been zero calls or one for each. That trip on Huby was egregious. Refs are stupid.

Markstrom was on his game with key saves when we needed it. Hope we get more of that for the stretch run!

I also agree with a couple other posters on Huberdeau he could've sat and pouted and gave the same effort he did against Detroit after his agents tweet and he decided to come out on fire. Probably the most notable forward on the Flames all night right from the opening shift. Shows a lot of his character and gives me some optimism going forward

Looks like Hubey's agent's tweet woke up not only Hubey but Marky as well.

There was definitely some jump to his game. I have no doubt the comments by Walsh ticked him off.

That’s what frustrates me so much, knowing they can be dominant but for the most part they play down to the level of their opponents.

I'm legit shocked that the panel actually did some post-game analysis about the Flames. I assume it's just because the Oilers aren't playing tonight and there aren't any McDrai highlights to talk about.

Lost it behind the net but held the zone with a good pinch

Thank goodness. Thought they sat back a bit in the third but nice to get the break on an OT PP and actually cash in. Agree that this was Huberdeau’s best game. Markstom was good but didn’t like how he lost the puck on the tying goal.
Always nice to get a win on Saturday night. Hope the boys have some fun tonight and build on this win.

This is my thought as well. I think he knew it would light a fire under his client. Huberdeau is a proud guy and I think if anyone thought he was having his agent fight his battles for him he'd be livid.
4d chess indeed.
