My Maddy! Only reason she went was that Jamie freaked out for no reason. Had she not taken a shot in the dark, the vote would have been normal. And then Brandon had it out for her for no reason at all, his vote being the only one needed. Kind of a dumb tribal.

Solid first episode, though wtf was up with all the medicals.
I like Matt, but he's got to be more careful. I was impressed by my 'voluntold' pick, Helen.
Yam-Yam's got a great energy, though I imagine it could get wearing fast. He reminds me of Maryanne from S42.
I liked the new advantages, and the birdcage thing.
I liked Lauren's plan...that would have been exactly what I did, too. Tell everyone you lost your vote, and use that to secretly bank your vote. Brilliant.
The vote was pretty weird, and it was kinda nice to see a Shot in the Dark finally pay off. I still feel that is a wasted 'advantage' though.
Decent start...let's see where the season goes! The case is shaping up nicely.
Those wires on the birdcage look like they could be bent pretty easily. Do you think they'd stop a survivor from doing that? I'd totally try to bend them.
shot in the dark is so stupid...especially when played for no reason
I have a feeling that Jaime played hers because she know how the vote was going to go and didn't want to rock the boat, so she could then suck up to whichever 'side' won.
I don't know why Matt played his. Maybe he felt unsafe due to the multiple injuries he's taken.
I wonder if that was a record number of no-votes in a first Tribal.

Seems selfish of them, not to mention it scared what's his name into playing an idol. If you are too scared to vote in the first tribal this game probably isn't for you.
It's getting dangerously close to when you play a video game and have a code to access all the best power ups. After a few hours, the game isn't worth playing ever again. Survivor needs to be careful not to over do it or they'll end up with a tribal where everyone is immune.

Well, that was a pretty stupid move from the 'super smart' kid.
Though, the fact that I couldn't stand to even be around a person like Caroyln, much less work with her may be coloring my view. After all, despite her being the only person clearly alone for any length of needed time, and not clever enough to put the bag back properly, the entire tribe was suspicious of everyone but her.
Maybe she's some kind of 4D chess player...

For a minute there, it looked like Carolyn was going to get voted out of the game on day 5 with an idol in her pocket and more tears than a ripe coconut. But somewhere deep in the recesses of the Fijian jungle, the Survivor gods were all, "Yeah, no. That isn't happening. We are totally going to mind-control Sarah here for a second to make her vote out Helen even though she has given no indication over five days that she would even consider such a thing."
All I do know is that Helen is gone. The woman was a puzzle whiz. She killed it on both the Savvy test and the first immunity challenge. That's someone I would have tried to keep around. Not at the expense of Carolyn, of course, but still a bummer to see her go so soon. And you could tell how bummed she was to be cut loose.
With Helen's boot both WhiteTiger and savardandjokinen take their first shot.
You side with crazy because you have her in your back pocket. He now comes with 2 votes. His idea is to make it to the merge and then he starts to play. Could backfire, but I like the optimism.
I also loved how in all 3 tribes the bird cage has been handled differently. The fake one still being in there could make for some excellent drama at a trible at one point. It's such a better twist than the "Beware" advantage
No matter how confident you are that crazy is in your pocket, you never really have a handle on crazy. Crazy is best friends with paranoia, and paranoia is about the worst enemy in survivor.

I’m really hoping he rehid the key. They never showed it but I’m assuming he did.
Did I see/hear it correctly that Carolyn announced that the fake coin/token/idol thing was the real one.... and that the bead things were fake.
Did they give us that piece of information cause she's going to botch the use of the real vs. fake idol at some point? God I hope so! haha. She is a mess.
