Can we stop with this narrative that allowing top AHL players twelve minutes in the NHL is a fair chance?

I thought he thought he got the penalty because he's just that dumb

It hasn't worked all season. Change it up! Gaudreau would have shot.

The Huberdeau hate is a little strange. Thought he played his best game as a Flame tonight. Their line was dominant basically every single shift tonight and Milan freaking Lucic is on it.

The difference in this one was a brain dead Mangiapane penalty.

Never easy to lose to the Oilers but if theres a silver lining the chemistry looks to be there at last.

48 shots 1 goal isn’t the ref’s fault.

Put the god damn puck in the net.

To be fair, Nurse was probably shaking his head at his sell job thinking he didn't do a good enough job.

That was a good game. Flames win that game 9 out of 10 tries easily. Mangiapane had to know you can't touch an Oiler at any time or risk getting sent to the box. Funny how it never works both ways against these jokers. Glad we don't play them again as the officiating is always atrocious.

Honestly, if we keep playing the way we did tonight we'll be just fine. The effort was there and the pucks will start going in. That 10+ posts in the last 5 games, things will balance out. I'm less worried about the season than I was a month ago, it's coming.

And the Oilers are exactly what everyone knows they are. If you could label a team as a "PP specialist", that's the Oilers. Maybe it will get them into the playoffs, but they're not doing any damage. McD will put in his trade request soon enough.

Every shot is up high. No low shots that could force a rebounds. It’s always one shot and done.

Lucic, Mang, Dube need to stop blindly throwing the puck along boards back to the defence. It’s either to the other team or to no one.

Thought they played good though and deserved the win. Head scratcher how refs call some penalties and turn a blind eye to others.

Starting to get sick of these needless penalties this team takes at important parts of the game. It's like they lose brain cells.

Team is scrambling out there for a tying goal, and we have Lucic too slow to do it. Awesome.

I mean, sign up for that if you like, but I'd rather see one of the AHL kids.

Idiotic penalty by Mangiapane, he wears the horns in this one.

Very few complaints about that one. The Flames had 75% possession 5v5 and had 16 high danger chances vs. 6 for the Oilers. I’m not sure how a team that has the puck that much only draws one penalty. Laughably inconsistent officiating as usual.

The non-call when Nurse hit Toffoli was a %^*#ing joke.
I don't know about that. those shots they put on net were a whole lot of fluff, except for the two posts

I'm still a little annoyed but Calgary outplayed them. Limited David MacDonald to one point, D was good, Markstrom was good, just could pot more than one. Just the way the cookie crumbles in hockey sometimes. Oh well, at least we won't see those turds again until next year

Flames dominated possession and territorially, but never really seemed in full control. I didn’t see a team that really wanted to take the season series. I saw a team play a solid technical game but with no real drive or emotion.

To hand the Oilers a PP tied in the third is just plain stupid. It was game over at that point.

I don’t usually rag on the refs but they missed a lot of calls on the Oilers.

Why does this team refuse to go hard to the net and draw a penalty or create a good scoring chance

Circle back or long snap shots. Not often in a game where the shots are 45-25 does the goalie with 25 have the 3 best saves

It's not the refs. The games not rigged. This isn't politics, the flames just can't score, do to lack of tallent.
