Recency bias. Getting a 115 point player, a middle
pair defenseman, a B-level prospect & a 1st is a huge haul. No one really foresaw just how bad of a start to the year Hubie would have. I just clued in that you probably meant Chucky’s bridge contract. That definitely was a blunder when reports came that he was ready to sign an 8 year deal then.

It doesn't matter if you believe him or not, Flames had control but they chose to give him an extremely wonderful walking contract. by all accounts his brother wanted the same thing but Dorion would have nothing of it.

I figured today was a good time since atleast statistically he didn't look like the Vezina winner Oilers fans had him during the preseason.
