Here comes the Mcdavid interview. Wet cardboard has more personality.

The last game on is Sharks v Rangers, it's nearly half way through the third with 53 SOG and still a 0-0 game.

You are correct Backstop, the goalie duel continues with Reimer making 35 saves so far.

Why don’t D try to hit McDavid as hard as possible?

Gio refused to grant him the prescribed free pass to the net.

Skinner on after hours seems like a likeable guy. The opposite of Mike smith. It’s weird not hating an oilers goalie.

Staples already comparing skinner to moog and fuhr based on stats. Lol- settle down staples, it’s 1/5 of a season for skinner compared to a full season for moog and fuhr. Edmonton media hype train again.

I'll allow it. Moog and Fuhr were lousy goalies, but that was in the 80s when nearly all goalies were lousy.

Of course if those guys played today, they would have the benefit of modern techniques, coaching, and equipment. But Moog at 5'9" and Fuhr at 5'11" would be long shots even to make the NHL, let alone play for Stanley Cup winners.

Let Oiler fans pine for the 1980s. If I want to pine, I'll pine for the 1900s. That Harvey Pulford, now, he was a great defenceman… back when there was no forward passing and no rule against icing. He would strip the puck off you and golf it 200 feet, over and over again. Pulford didn't believe a defenceman should carry the puck up the ice; that was a newfangled fad and obviously wouldn't last.

The difference is, I'm kidding. I know the game has changed since those days. Oiler fans never seem to get that.

Like all new goalies teams will find Skinner's weak spots and exploit them. You have to wait and see how he adapts and overcomes them before you can declare he is a legit starter.

Yup. First 30 games or so are kind of a freebie. But after that, a couple things happen: the burden of the schedule and playing regularly, and the fact that the league gets a book on you.

Koskinen was really good for his first 20 games or so, and the Oilers immediately signed him to a big contract. Then the league figured out his glove hand.

Dave Hodge and Ron MacLean must have been laughing hysterically when Caufield scored they tying goal to send the game into overtime. MacLean should have flipped a pen.

Out of all the OOT games, there were only 2 SHUTOUTS.

Tristan Jarry was perfect as he made 32 saves in the Penguins 3-0 victory. Other than that it was a fairly even game with the shots being 32-32 and each team was 0/2 on the PP.

Georgiev also made 32 saves in the Avs net as Colorado won 4-0. MacKinnon with 2 points.

The Bhawks were suffered a big time 6-1 loss while wearing their reverse retro jerseys. The Bruins simply dominated the game. The shots were 43-18 for Boston and are now 11-0-0 on home ice. McAvoy had 4 assists and Marchand had 3 assists.

The Red Wings crushed the BJs by the same 6-1 score in Columbus. Larkin's fine play continues as he had 3 points and Hronek had 2 goals.

The Kraken, just wow in winning their 2nd straight game in OT. They are now 7-2-1 in their past 10 games as they defeated the Kings 3-2 in OT. Martin Jones is the #1 goalie in Seattle. The Kings scored the go ahead goal while shorthand very early in the 3rd period, but, 17 seconds later the Kraken tied it on the PP.
