Well, there is a big difference in the opportunity, based on where the two teams are in their cycle. But you are inferring that this suggests that there is a fundamental problem with the way the Flames have handled him, and handle players in general. THAT is what some of us are disagreeing with

Well I don't exactly think that Bennett got the opportunities he probably should have got, and who knows if the team was patient enough with Valimaki. I'm not suggesting there is a "fundamental problem" or anything like that, I'm just saying when you lack deep playoff runs for 30+ years with the exception of one year, it's fair to take a look at situations regarding certain players and ask what you might have done differently.
