They truly have a lot of coverage and insight. Interviews with players, coaches and just overall talk about the team/game. One pre/post game has more analysis, videos and clips than what we would see in 2 weeks worth of games.

excellent game by the Flames.

Happy that Huberdeau got his first goal - hopefully this will allow him to grip the stick less tightly.

Markstrom looked better, which is a good thing.

a bit out of context...Sutter was asked about the good faceoff percentage he said those 3 had good games referring to faceoffs

Just go to the Flames YouTube or Twitter feed for the post game they have all the interviews minus the annoying sportsnet panel talking about what Mcdavis did on his day off.

True but it's regional games on a regional network. At midnight eastern.

It's all money.TSN did the same thing. If they can hook 20% of the audience (Flames fans, Oilers fans, whoever) to watch 5-10 minutes of the network's flagship show, they can charge advertisers, for both the flagship show and the hockey broadcast, that much more becuase of the viewership. They can also then bid more for the rights more of that money will come back to them if they tie the hockey to other network shows. CBC basically funded 80% of their total operations by the HNIC revenues from advertisers and always tried to hook in shows to get viewership up there too to get more as revenue for non hockey shows.

If they went to a Flames only post game show, they will lose probably half their viewers or more.

It's partly why the Oilers are trying what they are, to hook Oilers fans into ppv post game.

Flames dominated that third period. The whole team is looking really solid.

I like how the Flames seem to be known amongst some players. As per Casey De Smith, “that team flies, plays physical etc etc”.

Rooney was 3/5 on faceoffs and 2/2 in the defensive zone, so I don't think Sutter was upset about that.

Impressive start by the team all things considered. All these home games would be better after the group got totally settled and spent some time together on the road. It doesn’t seem to matter and they have a very nice record to start with wins over many pegged to be top teams.

Kadri continues to impress me every time I watch him. In the early going it looks like the player he was last year is the guy he is going to be moving forward. It was nice to see Huberdeau sniper one tonight and get the monkey off his back.

Markstrom is rounding into form nicely

Have to admire the tenacity of Treliving to not give up on bringing in Kadri. Nice to see the team get off to a good start at home. Get one more on Saturday and set it up for a good road trip. Aldo nice to know that the Penguins will like cutbstomp the Canucks in their next game.

I missed the first so it wasn’t the easy peasy comfortable win that it actually was. Pens really woke up in the 2nd. Would really like to see a true no doubter 60 mins of dominance game here at some point, Saturday would be great.

Great response in the third though, great to shut it down like that after the second got away from them a little bit.

Pens deserved that after laying an egg last night in Edmonton. Nice to see Huby get his first.

Now the Flames can chill for three days while Edmonton plays a back-to-back on the road. Who made this stupid schedule?!?
