Markstrom makes me nervous. So do all of the new line combos.

I’m hoping for the best. But prepared for the worst.

Only here would a Vezina runner up make fans nervous.

I am sure he will be fine, but the last 6 games we have seen him play (with the exception of the game against the Oilers AHL team) have not been reassuring.

I've always found it interesting that the fan base seems to dislike fourth liners and third 6-7 defensemen, but loves back up goaltenders.

Is that a Calgary thing or a hockey market thing?

I guess Kiprusoff was always liked.

probably because Kipper never completely vanished against our one and only actual rival, I'm guessing

Blowout for the Avs tonight, starting a 10-game home losing streak.

Flames miss the playoffs by 32 points, but lose the draft lottery.

Entire management team is fired, and the team relocates to Houston.

There, got that out of my system. GFG and stuff.

Its because we see our bottom players messing up or failing to contribute for 82 games a season, game after game and we only see our backup goaltenders for 20 games a season so there is a quantitive bias.

Where did this new narrative come from? Markstrom wasn't good in his last game, but up to then I thought he looked just fine in the preseason.

But, again, none of that actually matters. Kiprusoff always looked drunk in the preseason.
