With some of these signings we see what is most important to a player at this stage of their career...for Phil it's obviously not winning

Nathans is right outside the arena. Also Shake Shack, the Beerhaus, Top Round. Also the Italian "Eataly" market in Park MGM.

He's not going to make it out of Vegas alive, is he?

Crappy hot dogs?

I ate there because I heard rave reviews about this Nathan's Hot Dog chain. Worst hot dog I ever ate.

Phil is going to sulk when he finds out that those hot dogs are as no good as the Oilers.

...although, they do have Dirt Dog in Vegas and while I haven't had one I have heard they are very good.

Wait. Didn't Pacioretty talk about how Vegas is basically a country club?

Don't most people, if not all, view Kessel as a lazy player?

Do you think he saw Pacioretty's comments and told his agent to get him to Vegas?

On a side not, I find it interesting that Pacioretty got dealt from Vegas to Carolina and then Stastny turned down more money from Vegas to take less in Carolina. I bet those two definitely liked what they see and heard from Brind'Amour.

If he wants hotdogs, he should have signed in Vancouver. For all the faults the city has, at least they have multiple Japadog locations. The one with shredded daikon... I literally jones for it sometimes.

Dadonov, Pacioretty, Janmark, and Lehner all gone for nothing or less than nothing. Woof!
Also, Mark Stone is broken.

Any failure by Vegas Golden Knights make me extremely happy.

I really enjoyed the hilarity of some of the Kessel clips, and I am sure he would have been a guilty pleasure fan favorite.
Like others have said, I also would have been concerned about a perceived lack of commitment to win. All in all, glad he went elsewhere.

Phil would have definitely been a high risk high reward move. Would have really added to the excitement of this off season and given them a very strong top 9. Maybe will be able to find a better fit though. He was far from a perfect fit but 1.5 million for a year and 60+ pts potential seemed worth the risk.

He could only get 60 points if he played a top 6 role with extensive PP time.

I don't think his over all play warrants that much ice time.

Pleased to hear that Kessel ended up in Vegas, I don't think he was the answer to our RW gap.

Well ya he would clearly be coming in to round out the top 6 and I'd Imagine he would get plenty of powerplay time. Doesn't matter now though.
